Students focus their learning on acquiring knowledge and skills in administrative-based courses by the use of diverse technology to be able to effectively perform in an executive environment. Students have the opportunity to develop supervisory, leadership, and training skills.

Students in all Office Administration streams enroll in a common first semester. As they gain experience and background, they have course selection options to complement prescribed office administration curriculum and further their interests, skills, and career goals.

The philosophy and curriculum of this collaborative program incorporate and utilize the concepts of caring and human science as the basis of nursing practice. Students work collaboratively with peers and faculty to explore nursing knowledge and caring practice. 

In the classroom, student learning activities focus on the nursing care of individuals, families, groups and the global community. In the practice setting, under the guidance of a practicum mentor or preceptor, students integrate knowledge from program courses to provide holistic, client-centred nursing care. In order to provide quality practicum placements, students are placed in a variety of agencies in the region serviced by the campus. Students are required to provide their own transportation to practicum placements.

NOTE: Years 1 and 2 are offered at Georgian and years 3 and 4 are offered through York University.

For students interested in managing people or processes, Georgian''s two-year, Co-op, Business program provides a solid foundation in the basics of business. Studies in economics, accounting, marketing, and human resources lay the foundation for a good start. Individual courses provide the student with the fundamental knowledge and skills required to get to work. This program can launch a career or can be a spring-board into further studies.

Students are instructed in the use of current Web and Internet technologies to create innovative, interactive products for a variety of users, platforms, and devices. They are taught to plan, design, and develop engaging and intuitive user interfaces. Courses cover the use of current technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, the Document Object Model (DOM), Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and a variety of popular scripting frameworks. With a focus on user-centred design, students apply human-computer interaction principles, standards-based technologies, and web application best practices to create an accessible, usable, and captivating user experience

This program carefully balances theory and practice and parallels the two year Hospitality Management - Hotel and Resort program. The unique benefits of this program are the opportunity over 1000 hours of paid work experience, extensive experiential learning, and a strong student-centred learning environment. This program delivers innovative curriculum and develops employability and strategic management skills within the pillars of the hospitality industry:

Practical Experience:
Co-operative Education is a mandatory component of all Co-op programs at Georgian College; it has been designed as a process by which students integrate their academic education with work experience related to their programs of study. This integration affects much more than simply earning a salary, including the adjustment to the work environment and the development of professionalism. It also reinforces skills and theory learned during academic semesters, develops professional contacts, job knowledge and career path, improves human relations and communication skills, and promotes personal maturity and financial independence.

Students are requested to register, attend and participate in their scheduled co-operative education classes. These classes are scheduled for all first year students and are expected to be completed in order for students to proceed successfully to their first co-op work experiences. Georgian College follows the Co-operative Education guidelines set out by the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE) and Education at Work Ontario (EWO) by supporting the learning outcomes designed for the program specific graduate profile and curriculum as set out by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities

In this program, students develop and foster advanced creative and artistic ability in a variety of studio areas. Through practical and theortical mechanisms, students are challenged to achieve their individual goals and objectives as artists within a variety of traditional and non-traditional media. Students investigate critical perspectives, synthesize advanced skills and apply advanced evaluative techniques. Students gain professional and entrepreneurial skills for professional practice and self-employment, necessary to successfully operate within the various professions of fine art.

Students in this program prepare for work with architects, engineers, designers, and project managers as an integral part of the team developing, presenting, and executing building designs. The program equips a student with comprehensive understanding of current competitive architectural and construction environments that challenge professionals in the field, including traditional and emerging construction technologies and materials, the current codes and standards, and business and entrepreneurial essential strategies. Various aspects of architectural design are present in a continuous stream throughout the curriculum, starting from design fundamentals and ending in the third year with the two-semester major architectural project. These projects are supported by courses dedicated to industry-standard computer applications, such as Autodesk® AutoCAD® and Revit®, and leading-edge technologies related to Building Information Modeling, such as virtual reality and building scanning.

Today’s human resource professionals are leaders and managers of change. They respond to the challenges triggered by new trends in technology, increasing government involvement in the employer-employee relationship, workplace diversity and globalization. The future belongs to organizations with the human resource expertise that can lower labour costs, improve productivity, increase responsiveness to customers’ needs, and build employee commitment.

Graduates from the program will be ready to perform all human resources functions within the business environment.  Demonstrating the skills and competencies such as the ability to communicate effectively collaborate with others and displaying initiative and perseverance, graduates will possess the required knowledge, skills and abilities to be a key person within the organization. 

Work-integrated learning 
This program includes a co-op work term component where you will gain practical, on-the-job experience in your field.

The global population needs a constant supply of goods and services. To respond to these demands in a way that is cost-effective and time-sensitive requires the skilled input of supply chain practitioners: professionals and leaders who can apply logistical planning strategies, troubleshoot problems, and provide support throughout the global and domestic trade networks. Within this program, students prepare for rewarding careers in supply chain management and logistics, as they develop specialized technical knowledge and skills through practical learning activities, simulations, and guest speakers. Students gain global supply chain competencies by examining the connections between strategic objectives, stakeholder expectations, and supply chain design, functions, processes, and roles.
