This program is well suited for those who enjoy working with mechanical applications. Students are provided with the skills necessary to safely install, troubleshoot, overhaul and maintain a variety of mechanical equipment used in industrial operations. The program also integrates best practices commonly used in the industry. Areas of study include: machining, blueprint reading, hydraulics and pneumatics, electronic, power transmission and lubrication, materials science, preventative and predictive maintenance, project management, PLC, Robotics, CNC, and 3D modeling.

The Millwright Mechanical Technician program is recognized by the Ministry of Advanced Education & Skills Development as a co-op/diploma program. Graduates meet the program standards of an Ontario Mechanical Technician, as well as the in-school training of an Industrial Millwright Apprenticeship.

Eligible incoming students are encouraged to register with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities as program participants and as soon as they start work in an apprenticeable position, they are eligible to register as an apprentice. The training at Lambton College counts toward the in school training requirement for the Millwright Apprenticeship. Students considering Second Career funding are required to contact their representative to receive the most current information regarding apprenticeship options and how it affects funding.

Students who are in good academic standing during the first two terms of the program will be eligible to apply for a four-month co-op job placement as available. A student is considered to be in good academic standing if they have passed all of their courses and have maintained a GPA of 2.5 or greater. Students seeking co-op job placement positions must apply for them and be chosen following an interview process. The college actively pursues companies to participate in the program but cannot guarantee co-op placements for each student.

The three-year Business Administration program prepares graduates for a world of business and educational opportunities combining theoretical knowledge with practical application. For those looking to work for an existing corporation, to start their own business, or continue their education with one of Lambton's university pathways, this is the right program for you!

This program has been developed specifically for students to personalize their program of study to suit their abilities and interested and put them on the best possible path for employment. During the first year, students will participate in an active learning environment and be exposed to a curriculum that builds a solid knowledge base of the major areas of business. This lays a foundation for the areas of concentration and for the development of teamwork, leadership, and research skills.

Experiential Learning Opportunities
Because practical work experiences are vital, students are given the option to participate in a co-op work experience in term 5. This provides exposure to a business environment and could provide valuable work experience. In the final year of the program, students will take the entrepreneurship capstone courses which combine assessments and curriculum to challenge the students to utilize all of their knowledge, skills and abilities gained over the course of their program, in a series of culminating reports and presentations that showcase a capstone project. Real world corporate partners are engaged to provide students with even greater experiential learning opportunities.

In the current business environment, professionals have much more responsibility. Today, they are leaders and managers. Indeed, one of the major challenges they face is managing complex projects that are critical to their business organizations.

In the first year of the Advanced Project Management & Strategic Leadership program, students will gain skills in project management and business leadership. The program includes all 10 project management knowledge areas based on the PMI® A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) - Sixth Edition, Project Management Institute, Inc., 2017.

During the second year of the program, studies go beyond the mechanics of the project and explore the dynamics of managing relationships. The scope of the third term includes stakeholder, client and executive relationship management, organizational culture and cultural pluralism and leading the project team in the project environment. Lastly, in the full-time work term or applied project students gain experience in a project-based work environment.

This program requires students to purchase a mandatory eBook and courseware fees. This fee will be applied to your student account in the first and second term. This program requires students to bring their own technological devices.

In this multi-disciplined program, students in the Lambton College Facilities and Property Management, Ontario College Graduate Certificate utilize existing related education or experience to learn and apply a variety of skills to help operate, administer and manage facility and property operations. In this program, students study the skills and knowledge associated with facility and property administration, including land use, property evaluation, financing, site administration and maintenance and owner/management relations. Students develop a foundation of business skills, including communications, accounting, human resources, relationship managing and marketing strategies that apply to the property facility and management industries of today.

Lambton College's Electrical Techniques program utilizes applied learning combined with strong theoretical training to prepare students for a career in the extensive electrical field.

Working both in the classroom and in various lab and shop settings, students gain practical, hands-on experience in electrical fundamentals. In just eight months, students will be able to master the basic skills needed to help compete for employment as an electrical apprentice.

These skills go well beyond the minimum requirements to begin an electrical apprenticeship. After students earn their Electrical Techniques certificate, they can continue their education in related technology programs at Lambton College.

Salon and spa service providers across the globe are looking for qualified Estheticians to work with their clients. Our graduates set themselves apart from the competition by training in one of the largest training labs in Canada, with state-of-the-art facilities that prepares them for this growing profession.

The Esthetician program is an Ontario College Diploma offered over three consecutive terms. A graduate from this program will have completed an official two-year Ontario College Diploma in only 12 months.

Students learn a full range of spa services including semi-permanent hair removal, body treatments, makeup applications, manicures and pedicures. Curriculum emphasizes general business, sales, professionalism, and health and safety.

Students graduate with a recognized Ontario College Diploma and over 600 hours of practical hands-on experience while training at The Spa at Lambton, as well as comprehensive in-class education from qualified and experienced instructors. The Spa at Lambton is a live practical lab where students provide esthetic services and practice business skills in preparation for spa management or ownership. Clients from the community eagerly await the opening of The Spa every semester.

Students have the opportunity to take a field placement course that exposes them to many different esthetic locations including retail based operations, day spas and more. This experience allows them to familiarize themselves with a variety of potential work environments. It is also a great way for students to make valuable connections with potential future employers.

It is an exciting time to be a nursing student at Lambton College. Students work in Simulation Labs with both high-tech equipment and simulated patients (actors), providing students with learning experiences that are truly rewarding and unique. Lambton College prepares future nurses so they may enter the health care profession with both required knowledge and hands-on skills to be successful practitioners. Students will experience the importance of smaller class sizes and individual attention by faculty enriching the learning experience. 

Lambton College partners with the University of Windsor to deliver the BScN program. Beginning in the Fall of 2019, the collaboration embarks on a new curriculum designed to meet the evolving needs of the 21st century nursing student and future nurse. Enhance your employability skills for a successful career in global business. The Business Management – International Business Ontario Graduate Certificate program is designed to prepare university and college graduates for a rewarding career in international business management. In addition to building management skills, students will develop the competencies to investigate, analyze and manage domestic and international business activities, in order to successfully conduct business on a global scale.

Curriculum emphasizes international sales and marketing, trade, research, supply chain management, law and project management in a Canadian business setting. Activities, projects and case studies are used to simulate a work environment and prepare students with the practical experience to be successful in their careers upon graduation.

The work term that concludes the program provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience that will assist them in finding permanent employment after graduation.

Upon graduation, students will have met the academic requirements for application to the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation and be prepared to write the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA) exams.

The Occupational Health & Safety Management Ontario College Graduate Certificate program is a multi-disciplinary program that is designed to encompass a broad range of knowledge in occupational health, safety and environmental management systems that are critical to an organizations success. This program provides students with a strong health and safety foundation by developing the competencies required for the effective development, implementation and evaluation of health and safety systems in occupational settings.

Emphasis is placed upon learning the application of legislation and recognizing, controlling and evaluation workplace hazards. This program will enable students to become leaders in health and safety by motivating proactive behavioural change. Students will anticipate and employ strategies to manage emerging health, safety and environmental issues while examining accident theories, emergency response planning, ergonomic principles, risk management principles and the promotion of workplace safety and wellness.

The Lambton College Sport Business Management, Ontario College Graduate Certificate prepares graduates for careers in the exciting and ever changing sport business sector.

With a Canadian sport industry focus, the curriculum enables graduates to be leaders in management and operations in this exciting industry. The program’s curriculum prepares graduates with knowledge and skills in sport marketing, sales, sport sponsorship, event bidding and planning, facility operations, human resources, finance and administration. Experiential learning is built into the curriculum allowing students to apply skills and knowledge to projects with organizations and clients in the sport industry and expand their business leadership skills through collaborative team projects. Graduates may find employment in a variety of sport business professions.
