This program, whose pedagogy is based in coaching, helps students understand and practice the skills they will need to be successful in business:

The College offers a program for future entrepreneurs that will help them develop expertise in various fields. In fact, in the last semester, students will benefit from a pre-incubator-type program. The Media Strategies and Advertising (AEC) program prepares the next generation of communications professionals and enables those currently working in the industry to refresh their skills. Courses offer an initiation to the field of marketing as well as advertising and its strategies.

Graduates will be able to fulfill their job descriptions as soon as advertising or media agencies hire them, developing and producing effective communications that will catch the public’s attention.

The International Commerce Import-Export program (AEC) trains students to become masters in the techniques, practices, and laws for importing and exporting, strategic business planning, price-setting formulas, customs norms, and international transportation laws.

This program, accredited by the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of international commerce.
The FITT developed a practical program, created through concrete examples contributed by Canadian businesses that are actively involved in international commerce. Due to this concrete approach, students will benefit from a stimulating and enriching training.

Montréal has become a global hub for artificial intelligence (AI) research and innovation, according to Montréal International. The city has developed cutting-edge expertise, and several global leaders, including Mila, Google and Facebook, have research labs in the Montréal AI ecosystem.

During this program, students will develop key skills that match the technical needs of the AI industries. In particular, they will learn to:

• Transfer the mathematical concepts necessary to create models and solutions that apply to the IT field
• Prepare and explore data, define the problem and choose the appropriate algorithm
• Integrate different interdisciplinary elements to generate results supporting decisions that deliver value to the business

At the end of their studies, students will have:

• Designed and developed logical and relevant solutions
• Gained a good understanding of how machine learning works
• Presented their results and conclusions under various forms of application

The common study course enables students on DEC programs at the International School of Hotel Management & Tourism to acquire knowledge in hospitality, tourism and the restaurant business.

From Fall 2020, Hotel Management Technique students will have the option to divide their time between the College and an employer establishment to receive practical, concrete and paid field training. LaSalle College’s Work-Integrated Learning – Remunerated option is unique in Montréal.

This DEC also offers practical experience through service and supervision classes in our restaurant-school La Classe, at several major events and conferences, and on courses and professional visits. This enables our students to be versatile and form ties with people in the industry.

The Hotel Lodging Management night program (AEC) is designed as much for students interested in familiarizing themselves with the hotel industry as for those already working in the industry but wanting to advance in their careers.

This training opens the doors to many exciting professions. Careers in this domain are ideal for people who enjoy contact with others and would like to work in an international milieu in any country. Training consists of developing various hotel management skills, with courses emphasizing real-life situations, case studies, concrete simulations, and on-site work experiences.

The Accounting and Management Technology program (DEC) trains students in various aspects of management, including supplies, sales, accounting, finance, market development, international commercial transactions, and supervision of personnel.

Knowledge of these concepts provides students with the skills to participate fully in the accounting cycle and provide technical support in the computer-assisted management of a business. In addition, the content of this program provides a concrete perspective of business realities, due to careful study and comprehension of the parameters affecting management and accounting.

The Accounting and Management Technology program (DEC) is geared towards developing versatile technicians capable of intervening at any stage in the accounting cycle and providing technical support to businesses’ computerized management.

The DEC in Fashion Design is the starting point for all major collections.
An exhilarating career as a fashion designer requires artistic sensitivity as well as great creativity.

Each collection must meet the demand of a clientele increasingly eager for something new. The fashion designer will have to adapt to it and become a specialist in market accuracy.

Indeed, the novelties in fashion have what is called in the middle: a high fashion content. This added value, on the other hand, has a short life expectancy. In one day, out the next day. This is why the designer must constantly detect new trends to come and be inspired by them to create novelty, always novelty, nothing but novelty. If you are interested in creating, innovating and imposing new trends, then this discipline of fashion design is for you.

At the International School of Fashion, Arts and Design, our students have the opportunity to regularly participate in high calibre projects where they let their talents and their ability to innovate shine. Using leading-edge computer software, students learn different interior design techniques and know-how in order to conceptualize and produce aesthetic, functional and safe designs for interior spaces in residential, commercial, cultural, institutional and industrial buildings, according to standard practices and in accordance with all applicable codes.

After they graduate, they can work, among others, for architectural and interior design firms, or hotel and restaurant chains. Many of our students work for prestigious business companies such as Andres Escobar & Associates, Igloo Design as well as the Cirque du Soleil and the Grands Ballets Canadiens.

Develop your skills as a management technician in a dynamic, creative environment. Upon completing your program, you may work in places as diverse as architectural firms, festivals, video game design studios, film studios, radio, magazines, or content creation agencies.
