Using leading-edge computer software, students learn different interior design techniques and know-how in order to conceptualize and produce aesthetic, functional and safe designs for interior spaces in residential, commercial, cultural, institutional and industrial buildings, according to standard practices and in accordance with all applicable codes.

After they graduate, they can work, among others, for architectural and interior design firms, or hotel and restaurant chains. Many of our students work for prestigious business companies such as Andres Escobar & Associates, Igloo Design as well as the Cirque du Soleil and the Grands Ballets Canadiens.

With this 3D animation and VFX training available at our recognized VFX & Game Design School, learn how to create special effects for film, television, video games and many other audiovisual and multimedia fields.

Practice your skills with cutting-edge software such as Maya, V-Ray, Premiere, ZBrush, Photoshop and Nuke, so that you will be ready to enter the industry and make full use of the skills and knowledge you acquire during your 3D animation and VFX training courses.

Our teachers have worked in production studios and are industry professionals. They will help you create a portfolio to give you a step up onto the job market.

Our graduates will be able to choose from careers as 3D animators, 3D artists, character or environment designers, special effects designers or modelers, to name just a few.

Many LaSalle College graduates have worked on major productions such as Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within, 300, and video games such as Halo III.

The Arts, Literature and Communication program is a pre-university program for those who wish to experience media production while enriching their general knowledge in order to better understand and appreciate the different media.

During their DEC in Arts, Letters and Communication - Media, students take part in the vibrant cultural life of Montreal by visiting institutions as well as unusual places. In addition, they are called upon to participate in media events while taking advantage of the city's intercultural environment. These experiences allow them to exercise their critical thinking and broaden their horizons on the impact of the media in our society. The Media option is created especially for students who wish to develop communication skills and open several doors for university.

The development of all these skills aims to engage students in order to become active agents of change within today's and tomorrow's society.

The Special Care Counselling program (DEC) trains students to intervene appropriately with a range of clients having difficulties adapting or fitting in socially. This is accomplished in close collaboration with various professionals, such as remedial teachers, learning specialists, psychologists, directors of educational institutions, and occupational therapists.

This program is ideal for those who enjoy people and are good at listening. These candidates are looking for an ever-changing work environment and appreciate human contact. Their motivation includes forging professional relationships and having a positive influence on others. Openness, empathy and a penchant for teamwork are essential characteristics to work in this field.

LaSalle College provides students in the Special Care Counselling program with hands-on experience in the workplace through practical workshops, professional internships, and pre-graduation projects.

The Computer Science Technology DEC, with a Network and Security Management profile, was developed in partnership with key industry players. It will help you gain all the skills necessary to manage physical and cloud networks. You will also learn key cybersecurity concepts, one of the current priorities in IT.

Thanks primarily to Cisco, Microsoft and Linux technologies, it will help you develop your computer skills and knowledge for implementing, managing and monitoring computer networks.

The frequently updated Computer Science Technology courses, with a Network and Security Management profile, lead to a number of certifications recognized by the job market including: CISCO (CCNA and CCNP), CompTIA (A+), Microsoft (MCSA) and LPIC.

The Technical Clothing Designer AEC program is intended for fashion or clothing design professionals who wish to broaden their knowledge in the area of outdoor clothing and obtain recognized certification.

LaSalle College’s exclusive collaboration with Techno-Espace, the technological clothing laboratory that works closely with industry, allows students to become acquainted with specialized equipment used in this constantly changing industry. Students benefit from the expertise of teachers who are currently active in this field. The goal of this AEC is to train professionals who will design and develop technical clothing products.

The technical clothing design course, students will become aware of the properties of textile materials, the human factors and environmental challenges of technical clothing design.

The DEC in Fashion Design is the starting point for all major collections.

Each collection must meet the demand of a clientele increasingly eager for something new. The fashion designer will have to adapt to it and become a specialist in market accuracy.

Indeed, the novelties in fashion have what is called in the middle: a high fashion content. This added value, on the other hand, has a short life expectancy. In one day, out the next day. This is why the designer must constantly detect new trends to come and be inspired by them to create novelty, always novelty, nothing but novelty. If you are interested in creating, innovating and imposing new trends, then this discipline of fashion design is for you.

The virtual world is now unavoidable, and demand for community managers grows every day. Social media is truly important for clients, whether used to generate customer loyalty or improve the customer experience. This means that responsiveness is important in terms of implementing changes, and developing, operating and expanding businesses.

Community managers are responsible for the organization’s brand—they take charge of its reputation and inform the company of the competition’s practices and industry trends. They analyze the situation to gauge the efficacy and functioning of the strategies in place, with the aim of improving future actions.

The Social media strategy AEC teaches students how to develop, write and optimize promotional texts online, communicate with different web communities, and prevent and manage crises.

The common study course enables students on DEC programs at the International School of Hotel Management & Tourism to acquire knowledge in hospitality, tourism and the restaurant business.

From Fall 2020, Hotel Management Technique students will have the option to divide their time between the College and an employer establishment to receive practical, concrete and paid field training. LaSalle College’s Work-Integrated Learning – Remunerated option is unique in Montréal.

This DEC also offers practical experience through service and supervision classes in our restaurant-school La Classe, at several major events and conferences, and on courses and professional visits. This enables our students to be versatile and form ties with people in the industry.

The Network Installation and Administration (AEC) course offers students the opportunity, using Cisco and Microsoft technologies, to deepen their skills and computer knowledge for the development and management of network applications.

This program prepares the student to become a network administrator familiar with the installation of hardware and software equipment suitable for networking. The training will allow students to acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge to design, set up and maintain a computer network based on Cisco System, Microsoft and Linux technologies.
