Explore opportunities in the service and maintenance of gas, propane and oil-fired technology.

Program Highlights

Accredited by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA).
Complete your training in one year.
Upon successful completion of each semester, you are eligible to write the Gas and Oil Burner Technician Provincial Fuel Certifications. You may write the examinations without acquiring additional workplace experience.

What you'll learn

Fundamentals of home heating appliances that use fuel oil or natural gas.
Experience the challenges in the service and maintenance of gas, propane, oil fired burners, furnaces, boilers and hot water heaters.
Understand fuel delivery systems, set up and adjust combustion efficiencies, size ventilation systems and combustion air requirements.
