Recreation Therapy is a profession which provides service to, and advocates for individuals with physical, mental, social, behavioural or emotional limitations in a variety of settings such as hospitals, long-term care settings, day programs, community-based programs, and mental health centres. • An unpaid 140 hours field placement in an industry setting, taken anytime through the two-semester program

Students in the Business Administration - Human Resources program will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to enter the field of human resources across various industry sectors (e.g. business, non-profit organizations, or government).

Topics such as organizational behaviour, training and development, recruitment and selection, health and safety, planning, performance management, employment legislation and career development, with additional functional areas of human resources will be presented throughout this program.

Co-operative Education

Biotechnology encompasses a wide field of studies including molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics (including genetic engineering), cell biology,  microbiology (including forensics and food processing), analytical instrumentation, and  bioengineering.

The program is designed to prepare students as biotechnology technicians through the familiarization with scientific methods and experimental techniques, in accordance with accepted principles of quality assurance and manufacturing.

The first academic semester is common with the Environmental Technician and Biotechnology Technician (Health) program of studies, followed by three semesters focusing on specialized courses relating to manufacturing, and laboratory quantitative and qualitative analyses in the field of biotechnology.
