Early Childhood Educators are focused on developing holistic education programs. You'll learn to design and facilitate children’s activities while encouraging interpersonal behaviour and inclusivity. Early Childhood Education is about helping children learn through play, but it's also about embodying effective communication skills, friendliness, sensitivity, and other compassionate qualities. Corrections Officers contribute to public safety by helping to enforce laws, process policies, and rehabilitate and reintegrate people who are in conflict with the law. You'll learn skills in security and law enforcement, as well as key Canadian criminal justice and law concepts. Our program offers two exciting workplace experiences that will put you in direct contact with a range of individuals in diverse environments. Corrections Officers have many career avenues, including employment in federal, provincial and private security agencies.

Environmental Technologists work for nature. They focus on the conservation of natural resources (fish and wildlife, habitat and ecosystems, agriculture, etc.) and work to heal some of the damage caused by humans. You’ll learn how to operate laboratory, field and monitoring equipment in order to sample, evaluate and analyze data collected from air, water, groundwater and soil. Environmental Technology is a rapidly developing field, you’ll find meaningful work on field sites or in research and communications departments of government and business.

Specific Considerations:
To achieve success in the Environmental Technology program, you should have a strong background in mathematics, science, and written communication. Applicants with a strong science background, especially in chemistry and biology, usually do well with the Environmental Technology curriculum. A considerable amount of training is in field work, so you should enjoy working outdoors.

The Social Service Community Worker program prepares learners for a career in the social and human services fields. By working with and supporting the well-being of individuals, families, and communities, graduates can bring about meaningful change within society.

Learners acquire knowledge and ability in the areas of human development and relations, family dynamics and support, interpersonal communications, counseling, program planning, social policy and legislation, and advocacy. In this program, there’s a focus on how to effectively intervene and work with a diverse clientele who may be experiencing poverty, domestic violence, social, emotional, behavioral or mental health trauma, or other challenging life events.

Within this diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that allow further integration of theory and application.

The Educational Support program prepares learners for a career in educational settings supporting students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, sensory or physical disabilities and behavioural challenges. This program will prepare learners to be part of a multidisciplinary team that supports students with diverse learning needs while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment that promotes students’ well-being.

Within this two-year diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that allow further integration of theory and application.

In the Electrical Construction program, you'll gain expertise in the design, installation, and operation of electrical systems. Following the Canadian Electrical Code and the National Building Code, you'll learn fundamental wiring practices, pipe threading and bending techniques, cable tray installation, and other necessary skills needed to start from diagrams and finish with a job done right.  When you graduate, you'll be ready to join the workforce as a registered apprentice in New Brunswick or another jurisdiction. We introduce you to metal processing, basic welding and cutting, sheet metal work, machine shop practices, maintenance and troubleshooting. You will progress from simple hand and machine processes to more exacting operations such as machining, fitting and reassembly. The trade theory and practical work of this program are supported by instruction in trade-related mathematics, physics, communications, blueprint reading, shop safety and basic metallurgy.
