From high-tech mountain bikes to advanced fighter jets, they use numerically controlled technology to innovate machine functions by building key parts. You’ll learn how to program, set up, troubleshoot and operate advanced machine tools. This combination of practical, hands-on experience and technical theory will set you up for a prosperous career in the metalworking industries.

Early Childhood Educators are focused on developing holistic education programs. You'll learn to design and facilitate children’s activities while encouraging interpersonal behaviour and inclusivity. Early Childhood Education is about helping children learn through play, but it's also about embodying effective communication skills, friendliness, sensitivity, and other compassionate qualities. Parents and care facilities are always on the lookout for patient and reliable early childhood educators.

Building Systems professionals see four walls as the start of endless opportunities. They help design and manage mechanical systems for residential and commercial buildings. You'll learn about electrical systems, plumbing, piping, fire control, thermodynamics, and HVAC systems, as well as how to create structural and industrial designs. Many courses in your first year are common with other technology programs and provide flexibility for credit transfer. The Community Pharmacy Assistant program is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to be employed as a pharmacy assistant in a community pharmacy setting.

Areas of study include anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, communication skills, pharmacy law and ethics, pharmacy calculations, non-sterile compounding techniques, long term care pharmacy, receiving and entering a prescription, pharmacy software, inventory and third-party billing. Interpersonal communication skills is developed and evaluated along with other related skills in laboratory sessions on campus and during the practicum period.

The Human Service Practitioner program prepares learners for a career in the field of human services.  Graduates will work alongside individuals, their families and their communities, playing an active role in assisting them to meet their needs and increase participation in society. The program focuses on assisting vulnerable individuals with complex needs who are experiencing challenges in daily life.
Learners will acquire knowledge and skills in strength-based individualized and group programming, communication, human development, exceptionalities, counselling strategies, ethical conduct, crisis response and behavioural change. This knowledge will be integral to assisting individuals to develop and keep valued social roles.
 
Within this diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that will allow for the integration of theory and application of concepts.
