The Educational Support program prepares learners for a career in educational settings supporting students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, sensory or physical disabilities and behavioural challenges. This program will prepare learners to be part of a multidisciplinary team that supports students with diverse learning needs while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment that promotes students’ well-being.

Within this two-year diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that allow further integration of theory and application.

Electrical specialists who enjoy the grit and physical demands of building projects will find rewarding work on construction and renovation teams. They are relied upon for their expertise at electrical systems installation and operation. In accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and the National Building Code, you’ll learn fundamental wiring practices, pipe threading and bending techniques, cable tray installation, and other necessary skills. With smart technology on the rise, trained Electricians are value-added members of modern construction teams. 

The Human Service Practitioner program prepares learners for a career in the field of human services.  Graduates will work alongside individuals, their families and their communities, playing an active role in assisting them to meet their needs and increase participation in society. The program focuses on assisting vulnerable individuals with complex needs who are experiencing challenges in daily life.
Learners will acquire knowledge and skills in strength-based individualized and group programming, communication, human development, exceptionalities, counselling strategies, ethical conduct, crisis response and behavioural change. This knowledge will be integral to assisting individuals to develop and keep valued social roles.
 
Within this diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that will allow for the integration of theory and application of concepts.

Quality Assurance Testers detect performance issues before software products reach consumers. They conduct software trials for industry sectors including finance, education, game development, architecture, and all facets of business. Working as a member of a software development team, you'll learn how to design automated testing tools and programs and make recommendations for product quality and release readiness. As companies continue to do more comprehensive testing at all stages of software development, the future looks bright for Quality Assurance Testers.

Welding and Metal Fabrication each contain unique areas of expertise. This program provides you with a foundational knowledge of both trades. You’ll learn how to read blueprints and plan and implement welding and fabrication processes. This includes the cutting and layout through to fitting and fabrication, as well as common welding processes such as shielded metal arc, flux cored arc, and gas metal arc. Our program pairs in-depth coursework with hands-on welding and fabricating experience in order to get you job-ready.

Highway and Municipal specialists help create the most efficient path from Point A to Point B. You'll learn civil engineering technology fundamentals, innovative design skills, highway construction planning, and water and sewerage system operation. Many courses in your first year are common with other technology programs and provide flexibility for credit transfer. You’ll learn how to design, implement, troubleshoot and administer secure networks and internetworks, as well as advanced skills in network and internet operating systems, network infrastructure, administration, and security. Please note: Students who have successfully completed the Network Support program have the opportunity to enter directly into the second year of the Network Administration program.

Sheet Metal workers are vital to the heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) industry. Workers in this field will learn to fabricate ductwork and install air distribution systems. You will learn how to use portable power tools, metal fabrication equipment, and welding and cutting equipment. The importance of indoor air quality (IAQ) and its implications for health, energy efficiency, and comfort ensures that skilled sheet metals workers will continue to be in demand.

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technician certificate program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills required to work as a technician in the electrical and electronics fields. This program offers a broad range of skill-based training in fundamental areas such as math, physical science, electrical circuits, critical thinking, problem-solving, research, communication, and teamwork as well as technical skills such as installation, testing, operation, maintenance, analyzing and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic circuits, equipment and systems.

Throughout the program, students will learn and apply the knowledge and skills in a real, practical, and simulated environment through lectures, extensive hands-on activities, and individual or team projects.
