The Social Service Community Worker program prepares learners for a career in the social and human services fields. By working with and supporting the well-being of individuals, families, and communities, graduates can bring about meaningful change within society.

Within this diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that allow further integration of theory and application.

You’ll learn essential information technology skills and how to program for businesses. Upon graduation, we offer a work practicum at an employer's site. Programmer Analysts find meaningful work quickly in diverse fields, including: information technology, manufacturing, and education. 

Machinists are skilled craftspersons who use precision metal cutting and grinding machines to fabricate high quality parts. They understand the methods behind using a variety of tools to measure, cut, drill, form, shape, grind and finish metal, plastic or similar materials. You’ll learn how to produce parts based on engineered drawings and how to diagnose mechanical malfunctions. Cooks are key components of any professional kitchen. They are organized multi-taskers who know the ins and outs of kitchen maintenance, preparation and sanitation. You’ll learn the science of measurements, specialized cooking procedures, kitchen tool and equipment technology, and how to create award-winning recipes. The restaurant industry is becoming more diversified. As a trained expert, you’ll have the opportunity to choose work that fits your food passions and creative palate.

The Community Pharmacy Assistant program is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to be employed as a pharmacy assistant in a community pharmacy setting.

Areas of study include anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, communication skills, pharmacy law and ethics, pharmacy calculations, non-sterile compounding techniques, long term care pharmacy, receiving and entering a prescription, pharmacy software, inventory and third-party billing. Interpersonal communication skills is developed and evaluated along with other related skills in laboratory sessions on campus and during the practicum period.

Electronics Engineering Technologists are always plugged in. They know how to diagnose and solve electronic system issues and develop best practices. During your second year, further specialization is available in communication systems and biomedical systems at our Saint John campus, and industrial controls at our Moncton campus. The Business Administration: Financial Management program will prepare you to write the Canadian Securities Course Examination or the Canadian Investment Funds Exam. Graduates of the two-year Business Administration program who have achieved a minimum of a 70% average each program year may be able to transfer into the third year of a four-year degree program at Cape Breton University (CBU) or the University of New Brunswick Saint John (UNBSJ).
