Our Justice Studies: Corrections program is designed to provide students the knowledge and skills required for individuals aspiring to a career as a Correctional Officer or other related fields of criminal justice. Everything we teach meets current industry standards, and our students are trained in areas of intervention, prevention, rehabilitative strategies and reintegration, preparing you to work in a diverse variety of institutional and community settings.

Our program also offers two exciting workplace experiences that will allow students the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to real world situations.

If you choose to continue your education in criminology or other related fields, your NBCC diploma is a great foundation. Graduates can, for example, apply their respective two-year NBCC diploma to be credited for up to two years of a four-year university degree making a seamless transition from college to university. Energy Systems Technologists build careers around protecting the planet. With a focus on renewable resources, they develop sustainable and integrated energy solutions and make responsible business decisions. You'll learn how to analyze energy consumption, optimize efficiency, and reduce costs and damages. From government to small businesses, trained Energy Systems Technologists are needed across multiple sectors for their innovative green thinking during this threatening time for the environment.

The one-year Applied Energy Management Graduate Certificate program is designed for graduates with an engineering degree or diploma to further their education and seek an opportunity for effective energy management in the commercial building industry. This program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for the growing workforce needs in energy management, energy auditing, innovation, entrepreneurship, and design and development of efficient new energy systems for a commercial building or facility.

The program offers a broad range of skill-based training in commercial building automation, efficient building operation, energy auditing, and energy management including solar energy. Students will learn to apply new energy-efficient technologies and innovative solutions to conservation, sustainability, and management of energy and efficiency for ventilation, heating and cooling, lighting, office equipment, and building automation and control systems in commercial buildings. Students will also learn how to perform energy assessments and cost-benefit analysis, work on energy management practices, and plan and create an energy solution for a commercial building. Through classroom theory and hands-on activities, students will learn how to apply those commercial building energy management concepts to an actual commercial building operation.

Automotive Service Technicians are vehicle surgeons. They know how to diagnose, service and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, including: steering, electrical, suspension, brakes, engines, fuel, exhaust, electronics and accessories for these systems. You’ll become an expert in vehicle anatomy and you’ll learn how to master shop tools and techniques such as brazing, cutting, and welding. With half a million vehicles on the road in New Brunswick, Automotive Service Technicians have their work lined up.

Heavy industry types all have a millwright on speed dial. If you’re ready to answer the call, our Industrial Mechanic program is for you. We introduce you to metal processing, basic welding and cutting, sheet metal work, machine shop practices, maintenance and troubleshooting. You will progress from simple hand and machine processes to more exacting operations such as machining, fitting and reassembly. The trade theory and practical work of this program are supported by instruction in trade-related mathematics, physics, communications, blueprint reading, shop safety and basic metallurgy.

The Educational Support program prepares learners for a career in educational settings supporting students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, sensory or physical disabilities and behavioural challenges. This program will prepare learners to be part of a multidisciplinary team that supports students with diverse learning needs while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment that promotes students’ well-being.

Within this two-year diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that allow further integration of theory and application.

Programmer Analysts are specialists in computer programming. They design and develop software systems and then learn how to apply them in a business-oriented environment. You’ll learn essential information technology skills and how to program for businesses. Upon graduation, we offer a work practicum at an employer's site. There's no speaking in code here - computer technology dominates industries. Programmer Analysts find meaningful work quickly in diverse fields, including: information technology, manufacturing, and education.

Criminal Justice professionals train their minds and bodies to promote community wellbeing and help combat crime. You'll learn about human behaviour, criminology, communication, sociology, community policing, the criminal justice system, criminal law, policing interventions, restraint techniques, and emergency response.
