July 1, 2014 marked a dramatic change in the practice of pharmacy in New Brunswick. As pharmacists expand their scope, spending increasing amounts of time in direct patient care, the opportunity for pharmacy technicians to take more responsibility in patient care has created a need for regulation of pharmacy technicians. Our program, nationally accredited by the Canadian Council of Accreditation for Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP), combines an exciting blend of theory, lab classes and applied workplace experiences in hospital and community pharmacies. Applied Manufacturing Methods is a post-graduate program. The program offers a broad range of skill-based training in all aspects of manufacturing processes, including design, computer modelling, 3D printing, reverse engineering, quality control and quality assurance in addition to the skills in communication, documentation, computer application, information technology, critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork to support the manufacturing activities of an organization.
 
This program provides students with up-to-date manufacturing techniques and processes with a focus on computer modelling and supporting technologies. Students will further gain a strong understanding of contemporary quality control, quality assurance and continuous improvement methodologies, and safety practices and procedures. Through classroom theory and hands-on activities, students will learn and practice their skills using industry-standard tools and equipment.

Machinists are skilled craftspersons who use precision metal cutting and grinding machines to fabricate high quality parts. They understand the methods behind using a variety of tools to measure, cut, drill, form, shape, grind and finish metal, plastic or similar materials. You’ll learn how to produce parts based on engineered drawings and how to diagnose mechanical malfunctions. In a heightened world of industrial production, businesses rely on machinists to maximize overall performance and output.

Our Justice Studies: Corrections program is designed to provide students the knowledge and skills required for individuals aspiring to a career as a Correctional Officer or other related fields of criminal justice. Everything we teach meets current industry standards, and our students are trained in areas of intervention, prevention, rehabilitative strategies and reintegration, preparing you to work in a diverse variety of institutional and community settings.

In addition to practical skills such as framing walls, siding and drywall installation, constructing wooden forms for pouring concrete, and erecting scaffolding, you’ll also learn about codes, standards, and quality concepts that apply to carpentry. As experts in home and business improvement, carpenters are called upon to make dreams possible and lives easier and more enjoyable.

Motor Vehicle Body Repairers and Painters see cars as canvases. They are detailed artists who repair and restore damaged motor vehicle body parts and interior finishing components, repaint body surfaces and repair and replace automotive glass. You’ll learn how to prime, paint, weld, apply body filler application, conduct fibreglass repair, as well as how to operate manual, electric and pneumatic tools. Our fully-equipped shop will let you exercise your creative skills by designing mock-ups and working on real customer vehicles.

Automotive Service Technicians are vehicle surgeons. They know how to diagnose, service and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, including: steering, electrical, suspension, brakes, engines, fuel, exhaust, electronics and accessories for these systems. You’ll become an expert in vehicle anatomy and you’ll learn how to master shop tools and techniques such as brazing, cutting, and welding. With half a million vehicles on the road in New Brunswick, Automotive Service Technicians have their work lined up.

Business Analysts are strategic thinkers who meet business needs by enabling change and designing successful operational models. You'll learn how to analyze, identify and document a business or stakeholder's needs as well as plan, manage, and monitor any proposed solutions. Organizations must adapt in order to stay relevant. Chemical Technologists focus on quality assurance and problem-solving. They install and maintain complex equipment and conduct sophisticated chemical analyses. Work settings may include labs, offices, or fieldwork. As a key member of a scientific team, you’ll learn the skills to excel in chemical research, pilot-plant operations, quality control, and process industries. Your frequent participation in co-op work terms will allow you to put your knowledge to practice while learning about unique client needs.
