Our two to three year Mechanical Engineering Technology program trains you to provide technical support and services in the design, development, maintenance and testing of machines, components, tools, heating and ventilation systems. In your first year, you'll learn the basics of mechanical engineering technology. In your second year, you'll learn advanced machine design, computer-aided drawings and specifications, building systems including HVAC, and engineering manufacturing operations and processes.

The Human Service Practitioner program prepares learners for a career in the field of human services.  Graduates will work alongside individuals, their families and their communities, playing an active role in assisting them to meet their needs and increase participation in society. The program focuses on assisting vulnerable individuals with complex needs who are experiencing challenges in daily life.
Learners will acquire knowledge and skills in strength-based individualized and group programming, communication, human development, exceptionalities, counselling strategies, ethical conduct, crisis response and behavioural change. This knowledge will be integral to assisting individuals to develop and keep valued social roles.
 
Within this diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that will allow for the integration of theory and application of concepts.

They understand the methods behind using a variety of tools to measure, cut, drill, form, shape, grind and finish metal, plastic or similar materials. You’ll learn how to produce parts based on engineered drawings and how to diagnose mechanical malfunctions. In a heightened world of industrial production, businesses rely on machinists to maximize overall performance and output.

Welders use electric arc and oxy-fuel to heat and meld metal. The forms created by welders benefit a wide range of industries, including: aerospace, automotive, construction, and manufacturing. You’ll learn a technical understanding of arc welding, welding safety, power sources, and electrode classifications and selection. Welding is a skilled trade that has been perfected throughout history. Knowledgeable welders remain integral to factory and building teams.

The Community Pharmacy Assistant program is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to be employed as a pharmacy assistant in a community pharmacy setting.

Areas of study include anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, communication skills, pharmacy law and ethics, pharmacy calculations, non-sterile compounding techniques, long term care pharmacy, receiving and entering a prescription, pharmacy software, inventory and third-party billing. Interpersonal communication skills is developed and evaluated along with other related skills in laboratory sessions on campus and during the practicum period.
