Our program offers further specialization in power distribution at our Saint John campus and alternate energy production and control at our Moncton campus. Process Control Technicians are smooth operators. They analyze, adjust, and optimize process units and equipment in industrial facilities to ensure successful outcomes. You’ll learn specific skills in thermodynamics, applied chemistry, instrumentation and controls, and electrical devices, as well as general knowledge related to process control operations in plant settings. Our work practicum provides you with hands-on learning and counts toward trade requirements. Canada’s energy sector growth means that Process Control Technicians are in high demand.

Programmer Analysts are specialists in computer programming. They design and develop software systems and then learn how to apply them in a business-oriented environment. You’ll learn essential information technology skills and how to program for businesses. Upon graduation, we offer a work practicum at an employer's site. Fuels Technicians are in charge of detailed operations. You'll learn how to install, operate, maintain, inspect and repair systems related to the distribution or consumption of natural gas, propane or oil. This program will provide you with the necessary instruction and practical experience to challenge the G2, G2-L (Liquid Propane Endorsement) Gas License and OBM Block 1 (Oil Burner Mechanic). Fuels Technicians inject safe and reliable expertise into the booming energy sector.

Auto Body and Collision Technicians see cars as canvases. They are detailed artists who repair and restore damaged motor vehicle body parts and interior finishing components, repaint body surfaces and repair and replace automotive glass. You’ll learn how to prime, paint, weld, apply body filler application, conduct fibreglass repair, as well as how to operate manual, electric and pneumatic tools. Our fully-equipped shop will let you exercise your creative skills by designing mock-ups and working on real customer vehicles.

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technician certificate program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills required to work as a technician in the electrical and electronics fields. This program offers a broad range of skill-based training in fundamental areas such as math, physical science, electrical circuits, critical thinking, problem-solving, research, communication, and teamwork as well as technical skills such as installation, testing, operation, maintenance, analyzing and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic circuits, equipment and systems.

Throughout the program, students will learn and apply the knowledge and skills in a real, practical, and simulated environment through lectures, extensive hands-on activities, and individual or team projects.

Chemical Technologists focus on quality assurance and problem-solving. They install and maintain complex equipment and conduct sophisticated chemical analyses. Work settings may include labs, offices, or fieldwork. As a key member of a scientific team, you’ll learn the skills to excel in chemical research, pilot-plant operations, quality control, and process industries. Your frequent participation in co-op work terms will allow you to put your knowledge to practice while learning about unique client needs.

Plumbers see each water distribution and drainage system as an interesting challenge. They use hand and power tools to fix plumbing fixtures and install water systems. You’ll learn about hot water facilities and sewage systems, as well as how to assemble, install and repair pipes, fixtures and fittings. After learning how to interpret basic blueprints, you’ll have the necessary skills to layout a complete plumbing system according to specific building codes. Employment in plumbing is stable in every economic market and competent plumbers find work fast.
