If you're interested in applying to the Nuclear Engineering (Co-op) program, apply via OUAC code DNC.

This program introduces you to all aspects of the nuclear fuel cycle, from mining to plant operation to waste management. Our curriculum includes courses in nuclear plant design, radiation protection, nuclear chemistry and materials, heat transport, steam-generation systems, and nuclear physics. You will learn about the current operational fleet of reactors, and apply your growing knowledge to the future generations of reactors (e.g. supercritical?water reactors, fast reactors and fusion reactors).

Our programs are designed in consultation with key industry representatives, and will provide you with the necessary theoretical and applied skills to meet employers' needs.

Engineering and Management

The Game Development and Interactive Media program is designed to provide students with a wide range of game design development expertise. You will be immersed in the game design and development process from day one and you will develop video games beginning in your first year. Successful students develop their technical, managerial and entrepreneurial knowledge and skills in a diverse team environment. Working with programmers, artists and designers you will create innovative products that push the medium to its limits. You will acquire the knowledge and skills required to quickly advance your career in the gaming, interactive media and simulation industries, or become an entrepreneur in charge of developing and managing your own gaming/interactive media studio.

Kinesiology is now a regulated health profession in Ontario. You will gain the skills and knowledge needed to function as a health professional and to write the competency exam to become a registered kinesiologist. This program has an interdisciplinary focus, weaving together physiological, sociological and epidemiological perspectives on major health issues.

In the Human Health Science specialization, you will learn the fundamental areas of science related to human health and disease, including anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, microbiology and neurophysiology.

Forensic psychology exists at the intersection between psychology and the justice system. It involves applying the principles and scientific methods of psychology to the study of both criminal behaviour and the basic tenets of the judicial system. Specific applications include the study of eyewitness memory, the intricacies of jury decision making, effective police interrogation techniques, and the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of criminal behaviour.

You will study the core areas of psychology: social, cognitive, developmental and abnormal, as well as research methods and data analysis. You will explore a variety of forensic psychology courses that apply psychology to crime, policing, the courts, corrections and other aspects of the justice system. You will also have opportunities to incorporate aspects of criminology, legal studies, health and neuroscience into your degree, with the objective of developing unique knowledge and skill sets.

Experiential learning

  • A limited number of fourth-year students are granted an opportunity to participate in a learning experience with a community organization.
