Integrating key business functions with the use and understanding of today’s latest technologies, this program provides you with the skills necessary for employment in a competitive market.

The first two years of the program have a common curriculum featuring simulations, teamwork and case studies. In your third year, you may choose one of the following five majors:

• Accounting
• Finance
• Marketing
• Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources Management
• Technology Management

Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources Management

• This major will help you develop the skills and knowledge required to transform an organization's most important asset, human capital, into a sustainable competitive advantage. It prepares you for a human resources career, providing you with the courses needed to pursue the Certified Human Resources Leader professional designation. 

Modern health care has become increasingly dependent on complex laboratory tests—the results of which aid in the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of disease. You will gain fundamental knowledge and skills in biological, physical and health sciences. The medical laboratory science-specific courses cover five laboratory disciplines: biochemistry, hematology, histotechnology, microbiology and transfusion science. 

This program is accredited by the Canadian Medical Association. Upon successful completion, you are eligible to write the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science national certification examination and subsequently work in all Canadian provinces and territories.

Experiential learning:-
Starting in first year, students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and get hands-on experience in the simulation laboratories. As theoretical knowledge expands, so does experiential knowledge. In fourth year, students will be placed in a diagnostic medical laboratory for the final two practicum semesters where they will work under the supervision of a medical laboratory technologist and perform increasingly complex procedures on human specimens. Clinical placements give students hands-on practice, experience in different work environments and the opportunity to network with potential employers.

Although some exceptional circumstances may be considered, practicum sites are assigned on a random basis; therefore, students may be placed in any affiliated site within the province of Ontario. Students are responsible for any costs associated with relocation.

The amount of data generated by, and available to, companies, governments, and individuals, is exploding. There is an urgent need for individuals who can grapple with massive amounts of data and extract key information. As a Computer Science student in the Data Science specialization, you will develop the knowledge, skills, and tools, to set you up for success in this desirable job market. You will also develop critical problem-solving, analytical, and computational skills that will enable you to turn vast quantities of data into insight.

The Mechanical Engineering program is one of the broadcast engineering disciplines. In this program, students will learn the principles of mechanical engineering—motion, energy, and force—and how these principles are used to design and build the world around us. Within this program, you can choose the Energy Engineering specialization or follow the comprehensive program. 

Energy Engineering 

• Energy engineering is increasingly focused on the efficient and environmentally responsible use of energy systems, as well as energy security and reliability. You will specialize in all aspects of energy, from its generation to its end use, including energy conversion, storage, transportation and distribution. 

Foundation year

• All Engineering students begin with a common foundation year, regardless of program of study. During the foundation year you will learn about the various Engineering programs available.

Experiential learning

• Optional internship and co-op placements provide you with the opportunity to gain meaningful hands-on experience.

The only accredited program of its kind in Canada, the Automotive Engineering program prepares engineers to meet the need for advancements in the automotive sector by accelerating research and the development of alternative technologies, such as electric and fuel-cell driven vehicles.

Foundation year

• All Engineering students begin with a common foundation year, regardless of program of study. During the foundation year you will learn about the various Engineering programs available.

Experiential learning

• The university’s proximity to some of the largest automotive and manufacturing companies in Canada provides many opportunities for work placements. Optional internship and co-op placements are available to provide you with the opportunity to gain meaningful engineering experience.

This program has an interdisciplinary focus, weaving together physiological, sociological and epidemiological perspectives on major health issues. 

Two specializations are offered:-
Human Health Science:-
You will learn the fundamental areas of science related to human health and disease, including anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, microbiology and neurophysiology.
Public Health:-
Public health considers health from the perspective of communities, from a neighbourhood to national and international levels. You will learn about the health status of populations, inequities in health, determinants of health and illness, strategies for health promotion, disease and injury prevention, health protection, and factors that influence the delivery an use of health services.

Prepare yourself as a leader in the environmental sector as you learn about natural sciences, and the diversity of life from genomes to ecosystems in natural and human impacted environments.

Individuals interested in this specialization will apply directly to Environmental Biology through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre using application code DSL.

Co-op Optional
Co-op work terms give you the opportunity to earn a competitive salary that will help pay for your university degree, and the work experience to help clarify your career objectives. More importantly, a co-op degree gives you a distinct advantage that will assist your prospects for full-time employment after graduation or for being readily accepted into graduate school to pursue further studies. This specialization within the Biological Science program consists of an integrated and focused concentration on biology and chemistry, with additional courses in neuroscience, physiology, and human anatomy. You will gain a detailed understanding of the structure and functioning of the human body.

This program provides an excellent basis for writing the Medical College Admission Test® (MCAT®) exam and for satisfying course requirements for applying to professional programs in medicine, pharmacy, and dentistry.

Individuals interested in this specialization will apply directly to Life Sciences through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre using application code DSU.

The program combines an Honours Bachelor of Science program with embedded work terms. The Mechatronics Engineering program is an interdisciplinary engineering field. It integrates mechanical and electrical systems with real-time control, combining hardware with software to produce new devices such as consumer products, medical devices, high- tech automobile systems and robots.
