The Motive Power Fundamentals - Heavy Equipment and Truck Repair program is designed to prepare you for an entry level position in Truck and Coach and Heavy Equipment repair trades. As a student, you will learn how to identify basic heavy equipment and truck system problems by applying fundamental knowledge of motor vehicle component and system operation. As well, you will learn how to identify, inspect and test basic heavy equipment and truck engine components and systems, electrical, electronic and emission components and systems, drive train components and systems, and suspension, steering and motive power brake components and systems in compliance with manufacturers` recommendations. You will learn how to disassemble and assemble components to the required specifications by applying workshop skills and knowledge of basic shop practices.
