This is an award winning Transport Canada accredited program (10 months) #TC - 2007-09-4093. Delivered in London, Ontario, the Aircraft Structural Repair program is on the leading edge of aircraft maintenance. As a student, you will gain the expertise, knowledge and understanding of both aircraft structural repair and manufacturing techniques that will help you succeed in the field through extensive hands-on training. Practical experience will be gained by completing 45 to 60 interesting projects that cover everything from aircraft fuselages and control surfaces to wings,composite panels, plastics and sealing procedures.

This eight-month program, unique in the province of Ontario, is designed for those who don`t have a business-related background or education, but recognize the importance of having key knowledge of business to enhance job prospects and for advancement in their careers. In only a few months, you will develop the skills in the key areas of management, marketing, accounting, finance, human resource management and other critical business-related functions, while earning a graduate certificate from a recognized post-secondary program. Most other college programs take two years to give you the level of study you will gain at Sault College in less than one. Business knowledge is recognized as a necessary piece of one`s portfolio when actively seeking exciting opportunities in the domestic and global marketplace. The Mechanical Engineering Technician - Manufacturing program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills required to pursue a rewarding career as a Mechanical Technician in the steel, mining, and wind-energy industry. You will receive a strong foundation in a wide variety of industrial applications including how to assist in preparing conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering designs, drawings and specifications; carry out mechanical tests and analysis of machines, components and materials; help with the design of material handling, drives and maintenance equipment for use in manufacturing processes; assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and conduction projects; and participate in the installation, repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment.

The one-year Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees prepares you to exceed your goals in health sciences programs at the diploma, advanced diploma or degree level.

Sault College`s one year Culinary Skills - Chef Training certificate program will teach you about contemporary and classical cooking, for small and large groups of customers. Enjoy a combination of theoretical and practical instruction through live demonstrations, food tastings and hands-on training in various culinary labs.

Program Outcomes
A graduate of the Culinary Skills Chef Training Program at Sault College will reliably demonstrate the ability to:

• Provide fundamental culinary preparation and presentation for a variety of food service environments using a range of classical and contemporary techniques.
• Apply basic food and bake science to food preparation to create a desired end product.
• Contribute to and monitor adherence of others to the provision of a well-maintained kitchen environment and to the service of food and beverage products that are free from harmful bacteria or other contaminants, adhering to health, safety, sanitation and food handling regulations.

The Computer Programmer Analyst advanced diploma program (2091) is designed for those students who have completed and shown above-average competencies in the Computer Programmer diploma program (2090) and who wish to continue to develop programming analysis skills. The Computer Programmer is four semesters and the Computer Programmer Analyst program provides an additional two semesters or third year of study.

Skills developed in the four-semester Computer Programmer (2090) program will be expanded upon with a third year of study in the Computer Programmer Analyst program (2091). The Computer Programmer Analyst program places an emphasis on developing analytical skills and working on team-based projects. The first semester (of the third year of study) is classroom based where students will learn and apply various technologies including JavaScript, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, PHP, server side java, mobile application development and databases in an application driven team environment. The final semester consists of a 4-month work experience. Students spend approximately 400 hours on-site at a local business or agency within a programming team, gaining valuable practical experience.

Please Note: Semesters 1 to 4 are taken in the 2-year Computer Programmer program. Upon successful completion of the Computer Programmer program, students will have the option to enter semester 5 of the Computer Programmer Analyst program. (subject to enrolment)

Unique to the province of Ontario, the Sault College Advanced Repair program in Motive Power will provide you with thorough knowledge in the automotive sector as well as in the repair of trucks and heavy equipment.
Using high-grade, state-of-the-art equipment including the newest tools in the industry, faculty teach a wide breadth of knowledge to give successful graduates of our program an edge over other candidates.

Our College has two distinct fully-equipped shops in both the automotive and truck and heavy equipment areas, complete with highly advanced electronic diagnostic equipment as well as cutting-edge simulated repair and computer lab facilities to increase the ease and depth of learning.

The lay-out of our shops mimic the actual workplace environment, which helps graduates transfer their skills and learning experience to the real world. Further, we include parts and service and customer service components in our program along with a mock service counter facility that is fully integrated in our shop to practice what is needed to succeed after graduation.

Our Motive Power Advanced Repair program is one of only two schools in the province of Ontario that have a Canadian Forces endorsement for this trade. If you are considering a career in the Canadian Forces, you will have accelerated career opportunities through advanced standing as a Motive Power Technician after successfully completing the Sault College program.

Designed to prepare you for an exciting career working in the industry to repair a wide variety of cars, trucks and heavy equipment, as well as work with parts and service, this program will teach you how to analyze, diagnose and solve various motive power system problems by using problem-solving and critical thinking skills and strategies. We also provide each student with hands-on experience based on solid theoretical approaches that work.

In this way, you will gain the skills that employers seek by applying advanced knowledge of automotive, truck/coach and heavy equipment vehicle operation, components, and their interrelationships.
