Advanced Diploma in Computer Programming and Analysis ( Co-op Optional)

In this two-year diploma program, you will use building systems software to learn leading theory and practice for heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, air handling, electricity and control systems. You will learn the principles of energy efficiency, including the exploration of emerging renewable energy technologies, which are a major component.

Optional Co-op
Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional co-op work term(s) in a formal work environment. In most cases the work term(s) is a full-time paid position completed between two academic semesters. In programs with limited co-op opportunities, additional academic requirements and a passing grade on a communication assessment may be required for eligibility. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the optional co-op stream regardless of success in securing a work position.

Students who begin their studies in January are not eligible for co-op, and are required to begin their second semester immediately after the first semester.

Field Placement
To support your learning, a field placement work experience must be completed. This experiential learning opportunity will provide you with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills you learned in a financial planning setting, while also gaining valuable work experience.

This experience requires you to engage in a minimum of 140 hours of financial planning-related employment activities, either part time during your studies or full time at the end of the program. The field placement experience is an unpaid or paid position that is available to students who are in good academic standing with Seneca and who meet all identified requirements prior to participating in the field placement experience. While eligibility for participation does not guarantee that a field placement position will be secured, students are supported every step of the way by Seneca in locating, applying and obtaining a field placement experience with industry partners.

This four-year degree program is designed to provide you with specialized knowledge and skills in international business. The degree-level program builds upon the solid foundation of a well-rounded management education including accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, ethics and strategy. As you move into the intermediate and advanced years, the BMI program emphasizes business and supply chain processes that cross international boundaries and focuses on the complexities of operating in an international environment. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee that a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the mandatory co-op stream regardless of success in securing a work position.

This four-year bachelor degree will provide you with information technology (IT), business management and leadership skills which can be applied to a business. Graduates will be prepared for jobs as IT-savvy business professionals who can implement and manage strategies and operate effectively in teams. You will be capable of planning and implementing IT strategies and technologies to achieve a competitive advantage in the industry. This program includes a mandatory work placement that applies theoretical and practical knowledge in a real-world setting.
