In this two-year diploma program, you will learn the fundamentals of digital and analog electronics, combined with a foundation in computer technology. This program provides relevant hands—on laboratory work to give you the practical experience, as well as theoretical knowledge of electronic devices, computer programming and diagnostic techniques that the electronics industry values.

Skills
Throughout this program you will develop the following skills:

• Analyze, interpret, modify and prepare electrical and electronics drawings, layouts and reports
• Analyze and solve routine technical problems related to electronics engineering
• Troubleshoot electronic systems and perform test procedures
• Assemble, modify and test electronic circuits, equipment and systems in accordance with job requirements and standards
• Maintain and repair electronic equipment and systems following modern operational guidelines
• Analyze and test circuits by applying appropriate measurement techniques
• Analyze and troubleshoot control systems

Optional Co-op

In this three-year advanced diploma program, you will learn how to interpret schematic drawings, and use electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools. With an emphasis on automation and robotics, this program is a blend of electronics and mechanical engineering and focuses on training engineering technologists. You will acquire industry specific skills such as operating hydraulic and pneumatic machineries, using programmable logic controllers (PLC), and understanding machine elements and industrial automation.
