In this two-year diploma program, you will learn the fundamentals of digital and analog electronics, combined with a foundation in computer technology. This program provides relevant hands—on laboratory work to give you the practical experience, as well as theoretical knowledge of electronic devices, computer programming and diagnostic techniques that the electronics industry values.

Skills
Throughout this program you will develop the following skills:

• Analyze, interpret, modify and prepare electrical and electronics drawings, layouts and reports
• Analyze and solve routine technical problems related to electronics engineering
• Troubleshoot electronic systems and perform test procedures
• Assemble, modify and test electronic circuits, equipment and systems in accordance with job requirements and standards
• Maintain and repair electronic equipment and systems following modern operational guidelines
• Analyze and test circuits by applying appropriate measurement techniques
• Analyze and troubleshoot control systems
• Apply relevant shop practices in compliance with safety policies and current regulations for electronics engineering workplaces

Optional Co-op

This eight-month certificate program will prepare you to enter a wide range of employment opportunities within the thriving hospitality industry. The four-year Honours Bachelor of Child Development degree program prepares you for expansive opportunities across the health, education, and social service sectors. Upon completion of this program, you will be able to pursue careers in family support services, recreation, early learning and education, infant mental health, and early intervention for children and youth with diverse abilities. You will also qualify to register as a member of the College of Early Childhood Educator and practice as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE).

This program offers a fall term start and a winter term start with different delivery options.
