The eight-month Art Fundamentals (AFD) certificate program provides a strong foundation in traditional and digital art. This one-year graduate certificate program is the first of its kind in Ontario. With the increase in cannabis product commercialization, there has been a growing demand for regulation and quality assurance experts. In this program, you will develop the knowledge and expertise to grade and maintain product quality in a highly regulated industry. Your learning will include interpreting and understanding regulatory standards governed by the Cannabis Act and Regulations. Upon successful completion of this program, you will be prepared to seek careers in cannabis regulation or quality assurance in medical or cannabis production organizations.

You will further focus on analytical and instrumental chemistry, organic, industrial and polymer chemistry, metallurgy, ceramics, composites and environmental analysis, health and chemistry.

Optional Work Term
Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional work term(s) in a formal work environment. In programs with limited work term opportunities, additional academic requirements and a passing grade on a communication assessment may be required for eligibility. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the optional work term stream regardless of success in securing a work position.

This two-year diploma immerses you in the fast-paced field of live events. From meetings to conferences, fundraisers, trade shows and entertainment and sporting events, you’ll be taught how to plan and execute a wide range of live events. This includes producing content such as interactive presentations, videos, audio and multi-screen mixed media. This eight-month graduate certificate program is designed to turn talented artists into AAA game asset modellers. This unique program will have you creating and animating environments, characters and other assets within a 3D environment.
Through this program you will learn modelling, lighting, texturing, animation, scene staging, art direction and production management. Your learning will be further advanced by using industry-relevant techniques taught by professors with years of industry experience. With high-end computer hardware and software, you will learn to use tools used to develop game art and incorporate it into real-time environments.

This two-year diploma program will equip you with necessary skills to work in the justice sector, as a professional public service administrator, or clerk for courts or quasi-judicial administrative tribunals. Field Placement
Meet all the academic requirements and you will have the opportunity to participate in a four–week unpaid field placement at the end of your fourth semester. This opportunity will provide you with practical work experience and exposure to the justice administration sector. With the support and assistance of faculty and staff, you will play an active role in securing your placement.

To be placed in a court or other government setting, you will have to provide a police clearance certificate. You must have permanent resident status or Canadian citizenship to be eligible for a field placement with a government court, tribunal, department, or agency.

In this one-year graduate certificate program, you will learn from a team of award-winning filmmakers and industry professionals and be immersed in rigorous, intensive, hands-on training in the art and craft of documentary filmmaking. Built on three pillars — creative, technical, industry — you will learn every aspect of documentary production, from story idea to pitching, shooting and editing, and market and distribution.

As a graduate of this program, you will be engaged in pre-production (research and development,) production (principal photography,) and post-production (editing) as you wear multiple hats as a director, producer, cinematographer and editor to make your first documentary film.
