This program will prepare you to work as a designer in the communications industry.

Field Placement
You will have the option to pursue a field placement or an In-studio practicum during your sixth semester of the program.

In this two-year Broadcasting – Radio diploma program, you will experience engaging, hands-on learning that focuses on the principles of on-air presentation, script-writing and audio production. Your interest in radio broadcasting will blend well with the pre-professional training that you will receive in radio production and presentation.

Field Placement
You will benefit from the real work experience gained in one hundred hours of field placement in a professional broadcast setting. This component of the curriculum is both critical to your career success and a requirement for graduation.

This two-year diploma program enables you to pursue a university education to complete a diploma and a university degree in as little as four years at the University of Toronto (St. George or Scarborough), York University or Trent University. Courses include a variety of humanities and social science disciplines and focus on developing university-level skills.

The eight-month Art Fundamentals (AFD) certificate program provides a strong foundation in traditional and digital art. Designed to build skills in art, design, creativity, communication and critical thinking, AFD will prepare you for further education and a career path in fields such as animation, illustration and graphic design. You will experience hands-on learning under the guidance of working artists.

In this three-year advanced diploma program, you will prepare for work as a research technologist in the life sciences field. You will study a range of topics, including molecular genetics, immunology, tissue culture, virology, biochemical techniques, histology, cell biology, biochemistry, computers, statistics and a common first year of basic biology, chemistry and mathematics. This program offers you theoretical knowledge of scientific methods and practical experience in performing precise experiments for research and development.

Optional Work Term

This two-year diploma immerses you in the fast-paced field of live events. From meetings to conferences, fundraisers, trade shows and entertainment and sporting events, you’ll be taught how to plan and execute a wide range of live events. This includes producing content such as interactive presentations, videos, audio and multi-screen mixed media. You will also learn how to scout venues and create floor plans plus set up, operate and tear down the gear behind successful events.

Field Placement

This one-year certificate program provides general education and the opportunity to explore and earn credit towards other college programs. A career-counselling component will help you choose and prepare for career-specific postsecondary education.
