Students who wish to work in Canada require a work permit to do so. A student in Canada can work part-time during the course of his studies and full-time during holidays and semester breaks and post the completion of their course/program.
You can also work part-time on campus at your university.
Duration
Your part-time work permit will be valid for as long as you have a valid study permit.
20 Hours/Week
As a full-time student, you can work for a maximum of 20 hours a week. However, you can work full- time during holidays and breaks.

Hands-on experience
Following the final term of your Paralegal program, you'll complete an unpaid four-week (140-hour) field placement in a legal environment within a paralegal's permitted scope of practice. You may be in a variety of legal settings including a court office, legal clinic, paralegal firm or law firm. Some travel may be required, and you'll need to provide your own transportation.

Critical training
This program equips you with the skills you need to work in such locations as veterinary clinics, shelters, grooming businesses, wildlife rehabilitation facilities, dog daycare facilities, pet shops, zoos and other such animal facilities. This program is ideal for you if you have a technical interest in animals, are patient, conscientious, attentive to detail, highly motivated and dedicated.

Sheridan stays current with the latest technology, so you'll work directly with the same equipment and techniques you'll encounter in the electronics engineering industry. You'll gain first-hand experience with power and energy systems, signal processing, computer simulation, digital communications, circuit board design, control systems, microcontrollers and embedded systems.
Advanced work and learning opportunities
Students can graduate after two years with an Electronics Engineering Technician diploma, or continue for an optional third year to pursue a Technology advanced diploma. Plumbers are in high demand these days, and so are gas technicians. No other plumbing college program in the province provides gas technician training approved by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA).
