Outstanding career preparation:-
This program focuses on developing progressive leaders in early childhood education and care (ECEC) and child advocacy. You'll learn to design and manage an inclusive, positive, learning-centred environment, and you'll gain the critical thinking, business and interpersonal skills necessary to fulfill a leadership role and direct innovative practices in ECEC.

Software and hardware skills taught in this program are valued by employers and can be applied in a wide variety of fields. First, you'll study basic concepts that are relevant to both electronics and computer engineering. You'll then learn more specialized skills and tools, including:

Professors in this program also teach in Sheridan’s kinesiology degree and have real-world experience working with clients in many capacities — including clinical exercise rehab, chronic disease prevention and management, injury rehab, high performance, and strength and conditioning. Our Business Administration – Accounting program provides a balance of theoretical studies, hands-on learning and specialized courses.

Businesses rely on accountants to monitor their performance, compliance and financial health. Your first year will involve common curriculum shared by all business administration students, providing you with an understanding of how companies work. Topics of study include communications, finance, human resources and marketing — all areas of business you’ll impact as an accountant.

Study advanced accounting principles that aren’t covered in our two-year Business Accounting program! Enjoy the opportunity to earn while you learn! All advanced diploma students have the option of gaining more than 1,000 hours of work experience through a co-op work term. Co-op is a competitive program and you’ll need to meet certain academic requirements to participate. Connections you build during your work term may lead to employment opportunities after you graduate.

All of our professors have been active in the field within the past five years. Their curriculum is cutting edge and provides a strong theoretical and practical foundation for your future career. You'll learn to develop and implement a range of prevention, intervention and treatment strategies based on a foundational understanding of human development, family systems and cultural diversity.

Hands-on experience
You'll complete four semesters of field practicum in two locations that may include youth justice, foster homes, shelters, residential treatment facilities and community outreach programs. Three days each week will be spent in the field, and the other two days will include a unique lab class and complementary course work, lending support to your field experience.

Sheridan's Electrical Engineering Technician program offers you the opportunity to gain proficiency in advanced electrical and communication principles. You'll graduate from this two-year program with extensive hands-on experience and a broad skill set applicable to a wide range of industry contexts.

Sheridan's Chemical Laboratory Technician diploma program provides excellent facilities with current technology and many opportunities for hands-on experience. You'll work directly with the same sophisticated instruments that are used in research and industry, while learning to apply the theories of the chemical sciences.

Flexible options for study
Course credits can be transferred (either before or after graduation) directly to the Chemical Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology - Environmental or Environmental Technician programs at Sheridan, making the Chemical Laboratory Technician option extremely flexible.
