In addition to your core BBA courses, you’ll have the opportunity to take electives that will enable you to earn a Sheridan Board Undergraduate Certificate in Creativity and Creative Problem Solving. 50% of our June 2019 BBA graduates earned this optional certificate, which is endorsed by the State University of New York.

Co-op
The Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs all include a one-semester internship where students will fulfill many of the program learning outcomes and become prepared for future employment. After the completion of a minimum of 60 credits, students may also apply to participate in the BBA Co-op program, which allows students to complete three additional work terms to a total of four work terms. Enrolment in the Co-op program is limited through an additional Co-op application process.

Co-op/Internship allows students to take ownership and responsibility for their own growth and development through practice in real-life employment environments. Our work terms are scenarios where students can apply their critical, creative, and reflective thinking in a way that maximizes their workplace experiences and preparedness for full-time employment after graduation.

Sheridan's BBA Co-op program has built-in flexibility for students to select their path and schedule for Co-op work terms, may lead to paid employment during the work term, and further supports students to develop their entrepreneurial thinking skills and capacity for responsible risk-taking in a complex workplace environment.

Students receive in-class and 1-on-1 career education support to help prepare for their Internship or Co-op work terms. The Co-op/Internship component is delivered by Sheridan's Co-operative Education Office, which facilitates over 1,800 Co-op/Internship work terms per year Sheridan-wide. In this program, you'll learn through collaborative assignments, hands-on application, case analyses and industry projects, which will prepare you to excel in your business career.

Write marketing plans that analyze the unique situation a firm faces, and recommend actions to keep the organization competitive.

The role of the HR manager has grown steadily in importance. Today's HR management professionals contribute on a strategic level, dealing with talent acquisition, total rewards management, training and employee development, employment law, health and safety, labour relations, change management and HR metrics. At Sheridan, you'll learn to navigate the complexities of this role.

Co-op experience
You'll take part in one term (three to four months) of co-op placement, which may be paid or unpaid. This opportunity for real-world experience in an HR environment can be an invaluable asset to your career.

The two-year program focuses on technical and professional skills required to work in a variety of Health Service settings. You will learn to use specialized medical software, OHIP billing, electronic calendaring and scheduling, and communication software applications.

Medical Simulation or Field Placement
When you have successfully completed the first three terms and have met a prescribed GPA, you have the option of choosing either a Medical Simulation course or Field Placement (two days per week). Both options prepare you for entry-level administrative support positions in a medical office or setting. This is an excellent opportunity to gain work experience and evaluate different career paths.
