A Computer Systems Technician – Software Engineering diploma is exceptionally marketable in our rapidly changing computer-driven world.
The 4 cores of software engineering
As a program accredited by the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS), we concentrate on four core areas of software engineering:

• Programming and software development in Java, C and C#
• Web technologies and web application development

Specialize or diversify your marketing knowledge
In the first two years of your studies, you’ll build a solid foundation in general business fundamentals. Beginning in Year 3, you can choose from a range of electives, allowing you to specialize in one area of marketing or branch out across various fields. You’ll also put your new skills to work during a mandatory internship and optional co-op.

Our small classes and experiential learning approach promote the development of these skills through constant interaction with your professors and peers.

Internship & Co-op
The Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs all include a one-semester internship where students will fulfill many of the program learning outcomes and become prepared for future employment. After the completion of a minimum of 60 credits, students may also apply to participate in the BBA Co-op program, which allows students to complete three additional work terms to a total of four work terms. Enrolment in the Co-op program is limited through an additional Co-op application process.

Co-op/Internship allows students to take ownership and responsibility for their own growth and development through practice in real-life employment environments. Our work terms are scenarios where students can apply their critical, creative, and reflective thinking in a way that maximizes their workplace experiences and preparedness for full-time employment after graduation.

Sheridan's BBA Co-op program has built-in flexibility for students to select their path and schedule for Co-op work terms, may lead to paid employment during the work term, and further supports students to develop their entrepreneurial thinking skills and capacity for responsible risk-taking in a complex workplace environment.

Students receive in-class and 1-on-1 career education support to help prepare for their Internship or Co-op work terms. The Co-op/Internship component is delivered by Sheridan's Co-operative Education Office, which facilitates over 1,800 Co-op/Internship work terms per year Sheridan-wide. Sheridan’s Advertising and Marketing Communications – Management program prepares you to hit the ground running in this fast-paced industry.

What you'll learn
This program focuses on how the planning and creative processes work together to produce powerful campaigns. Using the latest industry-specific software, you'll learn how to interpret market research data, develop strategies, design creative concepts, calculate media placement and other associated costs, estimate and evaluate campaign outcomes and engage in the media selling and buying process.

The placements are a great way to gain hands-on experience in a number of areas in the industry and make some important professional contacts. Your placements will help you better choose the direction of your merchandising career path.

Cities need designers who understand the built environment. This eight-month graduate certificate responds to that demand, teaching you to design inclusive and sustainable solutions that connect and integrate urban landscapes. Sheridan is one of the few colleges in Canada to offer this niche training, which is traditionally taught in master's level studies.
