Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of varied disciplines including internationally focused finance, sales, logistics, marketing, advertising, human resources and research. Additionally, students explore courses using real-life case studies covering over 120 topics.

This program will prepare the student to fill the role of technical support in the dynamic and expanding field of client/server comput­ing, cloud computing, O/S virtualization, enterprise networks, administration and Internet management. Students complete a work placement component which provides on-the-job training with a local company in their final semester.

Our courses are constantly evolving to incorporate a blend of leading edge and traditional technologies to meet the needs of local employers. This program is well suited to people who are interested in computers, but not math, physics or electronics. Many of the courses in the CN&TS program train the students towards obtaining Microsoft, A+, LPIC-1, and Network + certifications.

Learning takes place in both classrooms and computer labs. Faculty bring a wealth of real-world experiences to the classroom. A num­ber of courses in the curriculum are delivered in dedicated a lab using exclusively assigned computers, virtual servers and diverse equipment.

The Health Care Administration International Stream program is a business program that will provide health care practitioners with business and leadership fundamentals. The program is geared toward international students who have previous education and work experience in health care who wish to develop their managerial and leadership skills. 

Program Highlights
The international program is a four-semester graduate certificate which has been designed to transition students to learning in Canada, becoming familiar with the Canadian Health Care system, and making international students career ready. The curriculum is geared toward providing a wide base of business skills in a health care context such as financial, communication, human resources, leadership, operations, and critical thinking. Graduates of the program would be suited for careers in entry or middle management positions in a wide variety of health care settings such as clinics, hospitals, and private facilities. The program is delivered over four 14-week semesters.

The Business Fundamentals program provides students with a broad and exploratory business education. The program will cover business basics such as accounting, marketing, human resources, business mathematics, and business communications. This program can supplement previous post-secondary education to allow students to enter a wide variety of entry level business positions. Additionally this program can allow student to explore further business education and can apply for advanced standing into the second year of the Business, Marketing, and Human Resources programs at the College.

The General Arts & Science (Certificate) program offers a foundational year for students preparing for the workforce or for future study. Students in the General Studies stream meet with the program coordinator to customize their program according to their needs and interests. Core courses include communication, computers, applied or social science, personal development, and general education. Complementing these are varied electives such as Film, Addictions, and Fitness. Students can also focus on essential competencies in communications, science and math.

The curriculum in this graduate certificate program focuses on digital strategy development, an area of the industry where there is a shortage of trained professionals. The program will deepen the students’ marketing communications skills and develop new skills in planning and implementing Integrated Marketing Communications campaigns. Students learn how to utilize interactive tools to develop customer-focused interactive marketing programs as well as web analytics to predict and measure the success of web and social media campaigns. Hands-on practical experience is gained through an agency model where students work to solve real challenges from real clients, followed by a 6-week work placement.

Organizations of all sizes depend upon the successful completion of projects to survive and remain competitive. Successful Project management controls every aspect of the project from initial concept through design, actual task completion and implementation. Resource allocation, time and cost control are essential elements to be managed to prevent overruns.

This one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate Program prepares graduates for this rewarding managerial career in the field of Project Management. Project Management is a highly sought discipline that involves the application of knowledge, skills and techniques to execute projects effectively and efficiently. Project managers are in high demand across all industries.

Students will develop a critical understanding of the ten knowledge areas according to "A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge" (PMBOK® Guide). Students will acquire the creative, practical, and advanced expertise that contributes to the effective management of the critical elements required to ensure overall project success. This course is interactive and takes a hands-on approach to learning. 

The General Arts & Science (Certificate) program offers a foundational year for students preparing for future study in a wide range of fields. For stu­dents in the Technology stream, core courses in communications, computers, and personal development are enhanced by courses in math, chemistry, and physics. Graduates of the Technology stream are prepared for future study in college programs such as Civil Engineering Technology, Energy Systems Engineering Technician/Technology, Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technician/Technology,and Game Development Technician.

Laurentian University offers a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree at St. Lawrence College in Kingston. The program combines the theoretical underpinnings of university with the practical strengths of college. The relationship is all about providing access to education in a seam­less manner, providing fair credit for prior academic and experiential learning.

There are two primary streams of access to the BBA degree program: an entry-level, four-year degree and an accelerated level designed for college diploma graduates where credit is given for prior learning and experience. The core subjects in the degree program cover the fundamentals of economics, account­ing, financial information systems, financial management, management decision making, organizational behaviour, human resources, strategic planning, and marketing. Commu­nication, analytical and computer skills are emphasized. Elective courses permit students to tailor the BBA to suit their own personal objectives.

In addition to securing full-time employment upon completion of the program, students may apply to graduate and professional programs. Recent graduates have gone on to Master's programs in areas including Business, Economics, and Finance, and to professional programs including Law (LLB), Education (BEd) and Accounting (CPA).
