Combines chemistry and molecular biology in a way that prepares students for the explosion of knowledge of life at the molecular level. Students learn to apply chemical principles and knowledge to biological applications, and study both chemistry and biology before specializing in various aspects of chemistry, biochemistry or molecular biology.

The Management Diploma is a two-year program that helps graduates develop key employment skills in areas such as oral and written communications, problem-solving, accounting, marketing, human relations, economics, law, information systems, and business ethics and readies them for entry-level general administration and sales positions.

Those who complete just the first year will be awarded a Business Foundations Certificate. This qualifies graduates for some entry-level positions, but they are encouraged to continue their education part-time or online if possible.

Acquire a foundation in tourism studies including tourism experience marketing, environmental issues, community and cultural issues, applied research methods, and product development and innovation. Explore tourism experience management topics such as understanding and influencing tourist behaviour, business strategy, small business management, information technology, and managing service operations in a global setting. Gain valuable field experience with a two-semester consulting assignment in tourism-related organization.

Power up your future as a software engineer today. Through our program, you will learn to apply engineering principles to computer software. You will gain technical knowledge and skills in how to design, develop, maintain, test and evaluate software. As you move through the program, your courses will include areas such as engineering, business, computing science and project management.

Software engineer grads do more than program. They bring creative solutions to manufacturing, transportation, health care, government and digital media. These sectors rely on computer tools and applications, which our grads manage.

Software engineering is the study of how software is built and maintained and includes project management and testing. Our students like the program’s practical, hands-on approach.

Co-op program:-
Co-operative education is a requirement of the degree. During your Co-op experience you will receive paid and relevant work experience, allowing you to apply theory learned in the classroom, explore interests related to the field of study and advance skills as a professional while strengthening your resumé. In the fourth year of study, students are required to complete two mandatory co-op work terms.

Our program is designed to meet the criteria of the Engineers Canada Accreditation Board. Graduates will meet all of the educational requirements for registration as a professional engineer through APEGBC. Up to 12 months of co-op work may count towards the work experience required for professional designation.

Post-baccalaureate diploma will be of interest to students who have a non-business degree, and who want to return to university for one or two years to acquire a specialty in a functional area of business in order to enhance their employment opportunities. Students with a first degree in business, but who want to change their area of focus, may complete a post-baccalaureate diploma as well.

Post-baccalaureate diplomas are also valuable to international students who wish to come to Canada to learn English, gain exposure to the culture, and study in a compressed format. Many who do so have already studied business in their own country and have received transfer credit that reduces the length of the program

Obtain extensive exposure to the cutting edge of modern biology focusing on biology at the smallest scale. Build a strong foundation in all aspects of biology before specializing in biochemical techniques, regulation of gene expression, biotechnology, and microbiology. The program involves extensive laboratory experiences.

Study in British Columbia with Canada's premier Nursing program. Prepare yourself for the challenges and rewards of the nursing profession. The BScN program gives you the technical knowledge, human understanding and practical skills to administer responsible and client-centered care as a registered nurse (RN) in a variety of health care practice agencies (institutional, community and international) and with people who have a variety of health concerns.

The Bachelor of Computing Science degree consists of two years of concentrated computing studies preceded by two years of general study. It is designed for those wishing to enter a in Computing Science, or for those wishing to pursue graduate studies. The program will mainly concentrate on small to medium business environments.

The degree will:
Enable students in academic streams to obtain a computing science degree.
Allow students with a 2 or 3 year Computing Science Diploma to continue their education and obtain a Degree in Computing Science.
Permit students in the B.Sc. and B.A. degrees more course options, including obtaining a Minor in Computing Science.
Allow past students the ability to upgrade skills to maintain or enhance employability.
Allow employees required to upgrade their skills, but not necessarily interested in completing the degree, to take needed courses.

Program Highlights
Explore a career in the technology industry—software and hardware design, system architecture, operating system structure, and modeling and simulation. The BCS degree consists of two years of general study followed by two years of concentrated computing studies. Double degree option with Business Administration available.

The Faculty of Science is committed to providing its students with a quality education emphasizing personal attention, choice and flexibility. In the Bachelor of Science program, students can expect opportunities for practical, hands-on experience across a spectrum of science disciplines in the classroom, in the lab, and in the field. In addition, there are opportunities for students to work with nationally and internationally recognized professor-researchers in their research laboratories.

The BSc is a rigorous program that provides students with both depth and breadth in their science education. Communication skills and computer literacy are promoted. Flexibility in the program allows students to pursue interests in disciplines outside their area of specialization.

TRU offers three routes to a BSc degree: a major in a specific discipline or disciplines, an honours program in a specific discipline (currently available only in biology, chemical biology, mathematics and computing science), or a general science degree.

Many of our graduates are highly successful and have gone on to science careers in medicine, veterinary medicine, medical genetics, elementary and high school teaching, resource management, high tech industry, biotechnology, optometry, pharmacy, dentistry, wildlife management, respiratory therapy and more. A significant number of TRU Science graduates have been very successful in graduate schools and have received NSERC scholarships to continue their studies.
