Our Bridge to Business program provides networking and collaboration opportunities with local businesses, and students with a business administration background have the option to complete the MBA in just one year.

Students will gain a foundation of basic knowledge and skills for working in the general field of tourism, as well as developing more specialized knowledge and skills relevant to event and festival planning and management. In the first year of the program, they will gain an overview of the industry; demonstrate understanding of issues fundamental in tourism planning, marketing, and service provision; and gain an awareness of central issues related to tourism’s engagement with culture and the natural environment, as well as exploring the experiential dimensions of this phenomenon. In the second, specialized year, they will master research skills; gain competencies relevant for creating, designing, operating, and evaluating events and festivals; and develop an understanding of the place of festivals and events within the larger tourism field and within contemporary culture.

Develop marketable expertise in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment, distribution, re-use and disposal facilities and in monitoring source water quality. This state-of-the art program encompasses chemistry, microbiology, mathematics, mechanical and electrical systems, instrumentation and treatment technologies as they are applied in the increasingly vital water industry.

The BBA provides students with a demanding and engaging learning experience. In Years 1 and 2, they receive a strong grounding in the humanities and social sciences as well as the core business or business-related subjects.

In Years 3 and 4, students complete the core including the capstone course in business strategy in their final semester. Students also specialize in one of the functional areas of business. These majors prepare students to pursue a professional designation after graduation and provide the extensive course work needed to meet the competencies established by the profession. Students interested in economics can also specialize in that discipline, or those who want to take a variety of courses from different business disciplines or economics can choose the General BBA.

Case studies, class presentations, guest speakers, field trips, company reports, simulations, and business competitions are used extensively to enhance the student’s learning experience.

Power up your future as a software engineer today. Through our program, you will learn to apply engineering principles to computer software. You will gain technical knowledge and skills in how to design, develop, maintain, test and evaluate software. As you move through the program, your courses will include areas such as engineering, business, computing science and project management.

Software engineer grads do more than program. They bring creative solutions to manufacturing, transportation, health care, government and digital media. These sectors rely on computer tools and applications, which our grads manage.

Software engineering is the study of how software is built and maintained and includes project management and testing. Our students like the program’s practical, hands-on approach.

Co-op program:-
Co-operative education is a requirement of the degree. During your Co-op experience you will receive paid and relevant work experience, allowing you to apply theory learned in the classroom, explore interests related to the field of study and advance skills as a professional while strengthening your resumé. In the fourth year of study, students are required to complete two mandatory co-op work terms.

Our program is designed to meet the criteria of the Engineers Canada Accreditation Board. Graduates will meet all of the educational requirements for registration as a professional engineer through APEGBC. Up to 12 months of co-op work may count towards the work experience required for professional designation.

The Management Diploma is a two-year program that helps graduates develop key employment skills in areas such as oral and written communications, problem-solving, accounting, marketing, human relations, economics, law, information systems, and business ethics and readies them for entry-level general administration and sales positions.

Those who complete just the first year will be awarded a Business Foundations Certificate. This qualifies graduates for some entry-level positions, but they are encouraged to continue their education part-time or online if possible.

Acquire a foundation in tourism studies including tourism experience marketing, environmental issues, community and cultural issues, applied research methods, and product development and innovation.
