Of interest to students who have a non-business degree, and who want to return to university for one or two years to acquire a specialty in a functional area of business or economics in order to enhance their employment opportunities. Students with a first degree in business, but who want to change their area of focus, may complete a post-baccalaureate diploma as well.

Power up your future as a software engineer today. Through our program, you will learn to apply engineering principles to computer software. You will gain technical knowledge and skills in how to design, develop, maintain, test and evaluate software. As you move through the program, your courses will include areas such as engineering, business, computing science and project management.

Software engineer grads do more than program. They bring creative solutions to manufacturing, transportation, health care, government and digital media. These sectors rely on computer tools and applications, which our grads manage.

Software engineering is the study of how software is built and maintained and includes project management and testing. Our students like the program’s practical, hands-on approach.

Co-op program:-
Co-operative education is a requirement of the degree. During your Co-op experience you will receive paid and relevant work experience, allowing you to apply theory learned in the classroom, explore interests related to the field of study and advance skills as a professional while strengthening your resumé. In the fourth year of study, students are required to complete two mandatory co-op work terms.

Our program is designed to meet the criteria of the Engineers Canada Accreditation Board. Graduates will meet all of the educational requirements for registration as a professional engineer through APEGBC. Up to 12 months of co-op work may count towards the work experience required for professional designation.

The Supply Chain Management Major is all about doing things “right.” Students learn to provide consumers with the right product, at the right place and time, and at the right level of value. A supply chain has three primary functions. Procurement is sourcing of the materials, supplies and services needed by an organization. Operations deals with using these inputs to manufacture goods and provide services. Transportation and logistics involves delivering products to consumers. The goal in all these areas is to maximize customer satisfaction and corporate profitability. These efforts have led to many business innovations such as single and global sourcing, design for manufacturing, agile and lean manufacturing, advanced analytics, 3-D printing, and green supply chains.

Increasingly, companies are outsourcing different supply chain management tasks to external partners to benefit from their expertise and to focus more on their own core competencies. This trend has reduced corporate investments in inventory and infrastructure and resulted in more flexible supply chains, but it is making supply chains increasingly interdependent and complex especially in today’s global business environment. Students with strong quantitative and computing skills and an array of multi-cultural and entrepreneurship experiences will become valued supply chain management professionals.

Some industry experts consider special events and conventions to be the fastest growing segment of the Canadian tourism industry. This program is designed to provide a practical overview of the function, skills and knowledge required to successfully plan, organize, manage, promote, and evaluate a festival, convention, trade show, or special event. Event planning is a very detail-oriented business. As a result, this program will appeal to individuals who have a high regard for details and the creative ability to manage special events and conventions from inception to fruition.

The BA degree offers a variety of majors and minors while ensuring a comprehensive foundation in the liberal arts.
