The BSW program has an orientation toward social justice, respect for diversity and social change.

Students acquire a foundation in tourism related subjects including marketing, cultural issues, applied research methods, product operations and risk management. Students are then be free to explore a range of related topics such as rock climbing, surfing and skiing as well as programming, consulting and ecotourism.

Post-baccalaureate diploma will be of interest to students who have a non-business degree, and who want to return to university for one or two years to acquire a specialty in a functional area of business in order to enhance their employment opportunities. Students with a first degree in business, but who want to change their area of focus, may complete a post-baccalaureate diploma as well.

Post-baccalaureate diplomas are also valuable to international students who wish to come to Canada to learn English, gain exposure to the culture, and study in a compressed format. Many who do so have already studied business in their own country and have received transfer credit that reduces the length of the program

The Master of Science in Data Science (MScDS) is normally a 2-year program. The goal of the program is to provide students with solid knowledge, techniques, and experience in the research and application of data science, and to prepare students to become researchers and leaders in the emerging area of data science at the regional, national, and global levels.

The program is unique in that it can be an application-orientated or a research-orientated master’s program depending on whether students choose the Graduate Project option or the Graduate Thesis option. Regardless of their choice, graduates will develop the strong data analytics, critical-thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills required for success as a data scientist in big data or to pursue further advances in research.

The risks of owning a small business are significant and the hours are generally quite long, but there is no better feeling than that which comes from launching a successful new business venture and being respected by one’s fellow citizens for making a contribution to the local community. Opportunities for new venture creation in Canada are very good due to a vibrant economy, a stable political environment, and close proximity to the US market. For creative people with a strong work ethic and a lower aversion to risk, a career as an entrepreneur may be the right choice.

Entrepreneurship Majors will learn to research new business ideas, prepare formal business plans, secure initial financing, and manage small businesses on an on-going basis. After graduation, it is hoped that many students will start-up their own ventures after acquiring some valuable industry experience and saving needed equity capital. A few will also return home to work in the family firm with the hope of eventually taking over.

The BBA provides students with a demanding and engaging learning experience. In Years 1 and 2, they receive a strong grounding in the humanities and social sciences as well as the core business or business-related subjects.

In Years 3 and 4, students complete the core including the capstone course in business strategy in their final semester. Students also specialize in one of the functional areas of business. These majors prepare students to pursue a professional designation after graduation and provide the extensive course work needed to meet the competencies established by the profession. Students interested in economics can also specialize in that discipline, or those who want to take a variety of courses from different business disciplines or economics can choose the General BBA.

During their studies, students receive quality instruction from accomplished academics and business practitioners who engage in scholarship to remain current in their fields. Case studies, class presentations, guest speakers, field trips, company reports, simulations, and business competitions are used extensively to enhance the student’s learning experience.

Software engineering is the study of how software is built and maintained and includes project management and testing. Our students like the program’s practical, hands-on approach.

Co-op program:-
Co-operative education is a requirement of the degree. During your Co-op experience you will receive paid and relevant work experience, allowing you to apply theory learned in the classroom, explore interests related to the field of study and advance skills as a professional while strengthening your resumé. In the fourth year of study, students are required to complete two mandatory co-op work terms.

Our program is designed to meet the criteria of the Engineers Canada Accreditation Board. Graduates will meet all of the educational requirements for registration as a professional engineer through APEGBC. Up to 12 months of co-op work may count towards the work experience required for professional designation.

Combines rigorous training in the ideas and concepts of the physical world with practical experience in electronics, computing, data acquisition, optics and other fundamental topics. A strong base for the students to expand their expertise in applied science and technology fields.
