Psychology:-
Psychology is the study of human behaviour, the brain, and the mind. This program is perfect for students who wish to develop a better understanding of how and why people act, think, and feel the way they do. The Specialization in Psychological Development is open to students in the single- and joint major Honours degree programs and is intended for students interested in pursuing a career in developmental psychology and associated fields (e.g., graduate work with a specialization in developmental psychology, health care, social work, recreation or developmental services, child protection). This specialization provides students with course options designed for an in-depth examination of theoretical, empirical, methodological, and practical approaches to development related topics. Students who have fulfilled the requirements for an Honours degree in Psychology may graduate with a Specialization in Psychological Development if they have successfully completed

In this program, the first-of-its-kind anywhere in North America, you’ll study a unique mix of Indigenous knowledge and Western teachings, learning from Indigenous and non-Indigenous faculty, elders, guest speakers and other scholars.

IES brings together the principles of both Indigenous knowledge and Western science. Here, you’ll explore complex topics such as climate change, sustainable communities and Indigenous health and environment. By applying a cross-cultural approach, you’ll learn to generate solutions to the complex local, regional, national, and international issues facing Indigenous peoples and communities around the world.

Gain critical and interdisciplinary understanding of criminalization and punishment, in a program that places critical focus on systemic oppression including the historical and contemporary realities of Indigenous peoples’, over-criminalization.

Justice served is about so much more than crime and punishment. In Trent’s new Criminology degree, you will gain a foundational understanding of the influence of social inequality as a cause of crime. Learning alongside faculty experts in Sociology, Law, Gender & Social Justice and Indigenous Studies, as well as the new Canada Research Chair in Community-Partnered Social Justice, you will apply your skills and knowledge to better understand the systems at play for both criminals and victims. This program is offered fully online or as a hybrid program with both online and on-campus, in-class learning. Students also have the potential to perform independent research on homelessness, the criminalization of women, as well as gain critical understanding of the realities of Indigenous peoples’ and the criminal justice system.
