Corporate Communication Specialization
SAMC grows leaders with an in-depth understanding of marketing, public relations, writing, speaking, and media. Corporate communicators are the voice of an organization. At TWU, you will learn how to deliver messaging that’s clear and consistent. The video game industry is massive and global, earning over $40 billion in the US alone last year. Market trends show it will continue to be a major employer of well-paid, highly skilled professionals.

Our unique Game Development program is unlike any other program. You will gain the technical skills you need to develop video games and knowledge about the entrepreneurial aspects of the business—all while gaining experience and developing your specialization in a range of team-based activities.

Beginning as early as your second year, you will work on three intensive projects to create and market video games. As in the industry, you will work within an entrepreneurial and interdisciplinary team environment to drive the projects from concept stage to promotion - creating business models and monitoring costs and revenues. In addition to building your portfolio through experiential learning, TWU’s liberal arts core and focus on holistic education will equip you to be a valuable contributor and leader in your field.

The MA in Leadership degrees are offered with two foundational curriculum themes – Transformational Servant Leadership and Values-Based Leadership. Our degree program is designed to develop emerging leaders using the Competency Model to become confident and effective servant-leaders for the 21st Century.

Health Care Specialization
As organizations become increasingly resourceful, the need for effective leaders has also intensified. Trinity Western’s MA in Leadership for health equips professionals with the skills to adapt to the health care sector’s growing complexity and changing priorities, by offering a leadership model that emphasizes people and teamwork – a model with proven organizational effectiveness in the Canadian health care sphere.

Human Resource Management Specialization
Despite today's technologies, people are still the center of an organization. From its president to an entry-level employee, a business success rides on the vision, direction, and spirit that its employees provide. In the human resource management (HRM) program at TWU, you'll learn how to: motivate employees, create empowering work environments, develop and implement policies and procedures, design the structure of an organization, and plan for the workforce of the future.

Students who graduate form the Kinesiology Stream within the School of Human Kinetics, have many professional opportunities including membership in BCAK (British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists), certification as fitness leaders, personal trainers, performance coaches and advancement into further studies in health, medicine, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, and more.

Within the Kinesiology Stream, there is an opportunity for students to specialize in strength and conditioning. This ‘specialization’ is recognized through the National Strength and Condtioning Association (NSCA) as an ‘Approved Educational Program (one of only 3 in Canada). Throughout the Kinesiology program, students are also prepared to write NSCA certification exams for CSCS – Certified Strength & Condtioning Specialist and CPT – Certified Personal Trainer.

Becoming a student of our Biology program will allow you to engage your curiosity and use your degree to meaningfully contribute to society.

Emerging diseases, environmental sustainability, and genomics are just a few topics that you will investigate. At TWU, you will be prepared for a career in the health sciences, research, or education, with solid training in science and ethics from a Christian worldview.

Our biology faculty are experts in their fields who integrate research, love for teaching, and Christian faith in the classroom. As a biology student, you will have the opportunity to work with faculty on cutting-edge research in cell biology and genetics, ecology and environmental biology, and applied and medical microbiology. This valuable research experience, coupled with our rigorous curriculum, can lead you to high-profile medical, dental, veterinary, and graduate programs around the world.

Sport, health, and recreation play a crucial role in keeping our communities healthy and it represents a growing number of professional opportunities for Christian leaders to inspire their communities to get engaged and stay active. Our passionate and highly experienced faculty promotes academic excellence and hands on experience needed to pursue a fulfilling career path. Our smaller class sizes allow for integrated discussion among students and nurtures long standing relationships between classmates and teachers.

TWU¹s School of Human Kinetics is a certified training centre by the NSCA (The National Strength and Conditioning Association) and our faculty serve noted positions with the managing council of the Canadian Sports Psychology Association as well as the Board Canadian Sport Institute.

A geography degree offers students the opportunity to tackle complex human and environmental problems with a skill set that emphasizes a combination of knowledge-building, critical thinking, informed problem solving, interdisciplinary learning, geospatial technologies and analysis, and hands-on solutions to positively impact people’s quality of life and their environments.

Geographers work in a wide array of fields including community development and missions, urban and regional planning, population and statistical analysis, geographic information systems, computerized mapping and remote sensing, business, retail analysis and market research, environmental assessment and resource conservation, geophysical analysis, and natural science research. Graduates with geography degrees are in high demand. Significant employment opportunities exist within government, teaching, business, private sector consulting, and in non-governmental/non-profit organization. The reasons for this wide range of opportunities and the demand for trained geographers in the workplace are the unique spatial perspective, interdisciplinary skills, holistic approach, geospatial technologies, statistical analysis and other skills the geography graduate offers.
