We encourage our students to engage in undergraduate research with their computing science professors. These research projects often result in students presenting their work at international conferences. Past students have coauthored papers with their professors and published their findings in peer-reviewed journals, providing them with valuable experience and identifiable skills.

Through our program, our students gain expertise in their area, as well as character development, as they learn to navigate between technology and society from a distinctly Christian worldview. Graduates from our computing science program stand out as confident professionals and choose from a variety of career paths, such as: software developer, systems manager, support specialist, trainer, software engineer, technical writer, software tester or supporter, and entrepreneur.

General studies allow students to learn from several disciplines at TWU, which ultimately provides them with a well-rounded liberal arts education. In addition, students who major in general studies take their interests beyond the usual disciplinary boundaries and have the flexibility to self-select which disciplines they want to focus on.

Our students explore Jewish and Christian Scriptures, both historically and theologically, in order to gain an understanding of how these texts have profoundly shaped past and present communities of faith.

Led by our close-knit faculty of committed and active scholars in the Department of Religious Studies, our students are encouraged to broaden their understanding of Scripture and to investigate current critical issues within the discipline of Biblical Studies. As our students advance in their studies, they gain a comprehensive understanding of biblical texts.

Human Resource Management Specialization

Leadership and Management Specialization
The effect of an organization's leadership team is undeniable. History has shown the decisions they make can spell either success or failure. Realizing this responsibility, our leadership and management specialization provides you with the tools to manage a business successfully. Learn how to problem-solve, resolve conflict, motivate employees, set goals, communicate effectively, and lead ethically.

As a student in the Geography and Environment Department (GENV), you will examine some of the most significant issues facing our planet and its inhabitants, including climate change, species extinction, habitat fragmentation, urbanization, poverty, and development.

Our GENV programs combine the strengths of a variety of disciplines across two faculties: the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities (FHSS) and the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences (FNAS). These combined strengths provide you with a holistic understanding of issues that cut across a variety of fields, opening up a wide range of employment opportunities.

Our campus’s close proximity to freshwater, mountain, saltwater, and island habitats, as well as urban, rural and agricultural areas means that you will gain a wealth of hands-on experience in environmental stewardship and management and community development practices. Our Geographic Information Systems (GIS) lab and expertise provides up-to-date skills training in GIS.

You will learn from professors with extensive expertise in diverse fields such as ecological restoration, sustainable agriculture, marine biology, landscape ecology, chemical ecology, urban and regional planning, resource management, physical and human geography, and geomatics. Also, the faculty and staff engaged in running the GENV programs provide leadership in the local community and more globally in their scholarship and in more practical ways as they approach the task of serving humanity and creation stewardship.
