The Drama major, taken as part of the BA/BEd combined degree, explores both theory and practice within a well-rounded liberal arts setting. You will be exposed to every aspect of the theatrical process, including acting, clowning, and improvisation; playwriting, directing, production, and design; and critical analysis and theory. You’ll also have the opportunity to pursue your own independent project in research and/or practice

If you want to create theatre and teach others about theatre and its creative process, this combined degree is for you. The first three years are taken in the Faculty of Arts, and the last two years are taken in the Faculty of Education. You’ll graduate in five years with two degrees: a BA (Drama) degree and a BEd (Secondary) degree. Our Secondary Education program in the Faculty of Education prepares you to pass on your love of learning and discovery in almost any subject to students in grades 7-12. You’ll choose two areas of specialization — a major and minor — allowing you to pursue your passion and customize your experience.
