This program allows students to combine and balance their interests in mathematics with studies in computing science. This combination will be of interest to students wishing to study the mathematical foundations of computing, algorithms, and logic, or the application of modern algebraic theory to error-correcting codes and cryptography.

This program can only be taken as part of a BSc with Honors degree.
 

If you are drawn to the life sciences and have varied interests, you will find the Biological Sciences major (or minor) an excellent choice. Whether your interest lies in animal, plant, or human life, this degree is designed to provide a broad view of the life sciences and allows for customization and flexibility with courses and program direction.

Why take the BSc General degree?
The Bachelor of Science General degree offers a wide variety of majors and minors, allowing you to create a diversified degree based on your interests. Majors must be in Science, but minors can also be from courses offered by Arts; Business; or Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences. You can also take a double major in Science.

Why study Cell Biology? (Specialization program)

Cell Biology takes a coordinated approach to the study of cells – the basic units of life. It integrates all the other life sciences in studying cells from the point of view of how they function. Courses in protein function, gene expression, and developmental biology will provide you with a comprehensive cell biology background and prepare you for entry into the workforce, graduate school, or a professional program such as medicine.

Cell Biology can also be taken as part of a BSc with Honors degree.

The Bachelor of Science Specialization degree provides a focused education in one program. You will take most of your courses in your main subject area, and are expected to maintain a higher standard of academic achievement. A Specialization degree can provide the background to help you proceed to a higher degree, but its primary function is to provide a comprehensive education at the undergraduate level.

This program can also be taken as part of a BSc Honors degree.

Classics involves the study of ancient cultures – particularly, the literature, history, and art of the great civilizations of Greece and Rome, from the period of about 500 B.C. to A.D. 500. The BSc Psychology program focuses on how the brain functions, and how we perceive, learn, and forget things. You’ll gain an understanding of areas like perception and motivation, behavior, and cognitive development, with emphasis on the physical, biological and mathematical sciences.

Our Specialization Psychology program offers the greatest amount of flexibility in the number of psychology courses you can take. Course span a variety of topics, from Cognitive Psychology and Behavior Modification to Abnormal Psychology and more.

Why take the Environmental Engineering Option in Civil Engineering?

Environmental engineers apply their knowledge of the natural sciences — chemistry, biology, and microbiology — with their expertise in civil engineering to design municipal services and solve environmental problems. As an environmental engineer, you might be involved in performing an environmental impact assessment, or in designing or managing systems for water distribution and collection, water treatment plants, solid waste handling and processing facilities, landfills, and air treatment plants.

This Option is taken as part of a Civil Engineering degree.
