This program teaches you how to apply economic tools and thinking to the production, processing, marketing, financing, and consumption aspects of the agri-food and resource industries. You will also develop practical and analytical skills to prepare you for wide variety of policy and marketing issues.

The Bachelor of Commerce is a four year degree program. The program provides students with a background in diverse areas of Business along with in-depth study of a specific area of interest.
Students are also able to explore disciplines offered in other University of Alberta faculties through program electives providing a well rounded degree. The BCom program provides students with a basis for self-learning through actual experience and the opportunity to develop comprehensive analytical skills.

Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Entrepreneurship and Innovation are vital to economic development, wealth creation, and societal well-being.

Dynamic socioeconomic systems encourage and support the creation of new businesses and social enterprises, as well as the entrepreneurial renewal of and innovation in existing organizations. The Entrepreneurship and Innovation major aims to help students develop an entrepreneurial mindset. This program provides an introduction to the principles of electronics, electromagnetics, and photonics as they apply at the nanoscale level. By selecting this option, students will learn about the processes involved in the fabrication of nanoscale structures and become familiar with the computer-aided design tools necessary for analyzing phenomena at high levels of miniaturization.

This Option is taken as part of an Electrical Engineering degree.

This combination will be of interest to students wishing to study the mathematical foundations of computing, algorithms, and logic, or the application of modern algebraic theory to error-correcting codes and cryptography.

This program can only be taken as part of a BSc Honors degree.
