The Global Political Economy program is a unique interdisciplinary approach for the study of international political, social, environmental, and economic issues. It brings together faculty and course offerings across five disciplines to give you a superb education in global political economic relations, and their effects on local communities. The program integrates courses in Political Studies, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, and History, and for Advanced degree students, two core courses in Global Political Economy.

Biology is the study of life as it has evolved and is evolving on earth. All aspects of life are examined, from molecular processes inside cells to large-scale ecological interactions between organisms in their environment, and how the changing environment shapes these interactions.

English Literature courses cover literature from the medieval period to the present and provide instruction in theoretical approaches and critical methods. The program not only introduces students to an array of literary genres but also develops their creative and interpretive capabilities. The aim is to provide comprehensive historical coverage, to expand students' writing skills, and to promote the kind of analysis and argumentation that enables them to express their ideas clearly and effectively. The program also offers courses in Creative Writing.

Supply chain management is an integrated management of the flow of products, services and information from suppliers, through operations to the final customer.

The Logistics and Supply Chain Management major examines issues such as:

• Determining the best combinations of transportation modes
• Strategic outsourcing and procurement

Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour and mental processes. It is also the profession that applies the accumulated knowledge of this science to practical problems. Psychologists and their work can be classified into three general categories: Research Psychology, Applied Psychology, and Clinical/Counselling Psychology.

The millennium from the end of the Roman empire to the Renaissance (500-1500 C.E.) was a formative period in the history of European civilization. This program offers students a broad approach to the period, through its literature, art, languages, history, music, and more.

Actuarial mathematics involves the application of mathematical disciplines, particularly probability, statistics, and risk theory, to real-life financial problems involving future uncertainty. This analytical approach helps people and organizations quantify and reduce financial risk in areas as diverse as life, health, disability, marine, property and casualty insurance; annuities; and pension and employee benefits plans.

The study of economics helps us understand our world: wages and employment, economic growth, productivity, wealth and poverty, government budgets and taxation, resource exploitation, business practices, inflation, recession, regional economic differences. In the undergraduate program in economics we study the history and current reality of these issues, and the principles and techniques necessary to gain a sound understanding of the choices and problems facing us during our lifetime. Students earning a general BA degree in economics can take a wide variety of economics courses while still pursuing interests in other fields. The advanced BA degree in Economics provides greater specialization. The Honours program is intellectually stimulating and offers smaller third and forth year classes. 

Linguistics is the study of how human language is structured, acquired and used, how it changes over time, and how words and constructions mean what they do in human interaction. The program offers courses in a wide variety of the sub-fields of linguistics: the nature of meaning, sounds and patterns of sounds, the structure of words and sentences, anatomical foundations of language, historical linguistics, the role of language in society, signed language, and the relationship between language and gender.

Biotechnology is the application of the principles of chemistry, biochemistry and microbiology to the development of new technologies. Both Microbiology and Chemistry share in the teaching and administration of the program, The cooperative work-study (co-op) programs provide experience in government, private sector and research laboratories.
