Anthropologists study humans: who we are, what we do, what we say, what we look like, and what we believe in.

At UNB, Anthropology is a holistic discipline, meaning you’ll examine humans, both past and present, as biological, cultural, and social beings. You’ll explore three central subfields – sociocultural anthropology, archeology, and biological anthropology – and you’ll have access to our expanded lab facility that includes a vast collection of human, hominid, and primate teaching specimens.

We use a range of learning styles and innovative teaching methods, and we incorporate findings from our research. Our small class sizes mean greater interaction between you, your instructors, and your peers.

Mathematics puts our world in order.

The Mathematics program on the Saint John campus is available as a major and minor option as part of a Bachelor of Science degree as well as part of a Bachelor of Arts degree. Additionally, there is a major in Mathematics and Economics option as part of a Bachelor of Science degree and there is a Certificate in Mathematics for Education.

The Pre-MBA Program is full-time, intensive, non-credit program offered by Saint John College and UNB Saint John's Master of Business Administration program. It is designed to help international students bridge the gap between their undergraduate education, work experience and the entry requirements of UNB Saint John's MBA program.

The Pre-MBA program is designed for international students who have been conditionally accepted to the UNB Saint John MBA Program but who need to increase their level of English language ability and/or gain work experience.

Go surfing in the Pacific and write about it. Book a dream honeymoon for someone. Entertain tourists through interpretive re-enactments. Manage a beachfront hotel. These are just a few of the cool things you can do with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism.

In UNB’s Bachelor of Applied Management in Hospitality and Tourism (BAMHT) program, you’ll combine practical experience in a community college setting with theoretical studies in UNB classrooms. You’ll study in Canada’s oldest incorporated city and gain valuable hands-on training and experience.

The BAMHT is available as a certificate and a degree, if entering from high school, or as a diploma and a degree, if entering from college. For the co-op mode, work terms follow Years Two and Three for high school-entry students while a work term follows Year Three (i.e. first year at UNBSJ) for college-entry students. These work terms provide hands-on, multi-level practical experiences.

UNB’s Concurrent Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education (BA/BEd) program is for people who love to learn and facilitate learning. And it’s for people who want to learn from the best.

The BA/BEd at UNB Saint John attracts students who want to accomplish two goals: receive the training and skills required to become an elementary school teacher (Kindergarten to grade 5) and acquire a Bachelor of Arts (BA), all at the same time.

Why take the BA/BEd program at UNB?

The BA/BEd program will qualify you for a certificate Level 5 teaching license in New Brunswick, which is recognized by other Canadian provinces and most U.S. states. In addition, our small class sizes mean greater interaction and collaboration between you, your instructors, and your colleagues.

From emergency care for premature babies with immature lungs, to ongoing treatment for people with chronic diseases such as cystic fibrosis, asthma and emphysema, respiratory therapists play an important role in lifelong health.

• A respiratory therapy degree can also open doors around the world. Health care providers in developing countries actively recruit Canadian graduates to help develop health care facilities and programs abroad.
• Following completion of the BHS (Respiratory Therapy) students may pursue further training in the specialized treatment areas of perfusion technology, sleep medicine, neonatal or pediatric care and anaesthesia assistant.
