Students who wish to work in Canada require a work permit to do so. A student in Canada can work part-time during the course of his studies and full-time during holidays and semester breaks and post the completion of their course/program.
You can also work part-time on campus at your university.

Your part-time work permit will be valid for as long as you have a valid study permit.

The University of New Brunswick is introducing a new two-year diploma in engineering foundations program, offered on its Saint John campus. Starting in September 2021, the diploma in engineering foundations will provide graduates with formal recognition upon completion of the two foundational years in engineering.
At UNB Saint John, you will get off to a great start while enjoying the benefits of our small campus and class sizes. Our diploma in engineering foundations gives you a strong base before transferring to our Fredericton campus or another university to complete your four-year degree program.
The two-year diploma program provides you with a basic understanding of scientific principles and a foundation in engineering, mathematics, design and technical communication. In UNB’s Bachelor of Applied Management in Hospitality and Tourism (BAMHT) program, you’ll combine practical experience in a community college setting with theoretical studies in UNB classrooms. You’ll study in Canada’s oldest incorporated city and gain valuable hands-on training and experience.
The BAMHT is available as a certificate and a degree, if entering from high school, or as a diploma and a degree, if entering from college.
