Students who wish to work in Canada require a work permit to do so. A student in Canada can work part-time during the course of his studies and full-time during holidays and semester breaks and post the completion of their course/program.

Your part-time work permit will be valid for as long as you have a valid study permit.

The Department of Physics at the University of Regina offers programs leading to the B.Sc. and B.Sc. Honours degrees in Pure and Applied/Industrial Physics degrees in Experimental and Theoretical Subatomic Physics. Co-operative Education programs with local industry play an important role in our undergraduate degree programs.
The University is a member of the TRIUMF subatomic physics laboratory in Vancouver, and has a close relationship with the Jefferson Laboratory in Newport News, Virginia, USA. As of January 1, 2010, the University became a member of the Southeastern Universities Research Association. This honour was in recognition of two decades of productive research by U of R physicists at Jefferson Lab.

Actuarial Science is the application of mathematics, statistics, and risk theories to the design of insurance and pension programs.
Actuaries' areas of expertise are extensive and involve a wide range of business aspects such as operations research, finances, economics, investment analysis, analysis of medical risk, accounting, legal and regulatory aspects of insurance and pensions, among others. In other words, actuaries apply mathematical skills to the business environment, and they are experts in risk management. It is also a rewarding career with excellent opportunities for intellectual development and financial gain. The Actuarial Science Program provides students with a strong facility in actuarial methodology and applications. There is 12 month internship program that is also available to students.
Graduates from the Actuarial Science Program have close to 100% hiring success in the Actuarial Industry. The BSc in Actuarial Science is the only program of its kind in Saskatchewan, and it is one of only 11 programs nationally that are accredited by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

The goal of the First Nations University of Canada's Department of Indian Languages, Literatures and Linguistics is to strengthen the First Nations' identity by ensuring the survival of Saskatchewan First Nations' languages. We encourage students to be proud of and to use, First Nations' languages.

This is a 30 credit hour (10 courses) diploma offered by Faculty of Media, Art, & Performance. It will enable students with no previous film training to gain a diploma in film production within one year.

The Master of Arts (MA) in Media Studies is a 30 credit hour program designed for advanced studies in cinema and media history, theory, and methods, emphasizing current concepts, issues, and trends. Master of Music in Performance - Voice - (Project-Based)
The Department of Music’s MMus and MA degrees can lead to career opportunities in performance, education, library science, music publishing, media, and arts administration, among others. It also provides exciting potential for further studies at the doctoral level. Our programs promote study in areas as traditional or contemporary as you are, with individualized instruction, and excellent performance and rehearsal facilities. Master of Music (MMus) in Performance (Voice)
This 30 credit hour program offers advanced studies in the above areas of specialization, as well as directed studies in the repertoire of the student’s instrument. Students study solo repertoire, participate in chamber ensembles, and undertake leadership roles in the ensemble most relevant to them (orchestra, concert band, wind ensemble, concert choir, or chamber choir). This program includes the performance of two full-length recitals. All students also take graduate courses in critical theory in the fine arts, and in research techniques specific to music. Graduate students in Performance participate in workshops with internationally renowned guest artists and are encouraged to perform in competitions at the national and international levels.
