The Master of Education in Adult Education and Human Resource Development degree program (MEd AHRD) is intended to prepare individuals for specialized educational roles in organizations involved in training & development, and/or adult training institutions.  Students will be able to select courses in both or either the Adult Education or the Human Resource Development streams, within one combined program.

We offer high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs. The undergraduate programs have strong hands-on components as many courses include laboratories developed and overseen by four full-time laboratory instructors. Research

Electronic Systems Engineering conducts research and offers graduate courses in selected areas of microelectronics, signal processing, instrumentation and communications. The Master of Engineering degree program with a project report attracts practicing engineers. It complements the Graduate Cooperative Education Program which seeks to integrate the academic experience with professional, on-the-job experience to facilitate professional development.

The Department of Music’s MMus and MA degrees can lead to career opportunities in performance, education, library science, music publishing, media, and arts administration, among others. It also provides exciting potential for further studies at the doctoral level. Our programs promote study in areas as traditional or contemporary as you are, with individualized instruction, and excellent performance and rehearsal facilities. There is also ample opportunity to explore interdisciplinary studies with the other Media, Art, and Performance areas.

Master of Music (MMus) in Conducting
This 30 credit hour program offers intensive individualized studies in conducting for wind ensemble, orchestra, or choir. Students undertake a wide range of conducting projects and score study. The program culminates with a concert in which the student conducts a major work for large ensemble. All students also take graduate courses in critical theory in the fine arts, and in research techniques specific to music. This degree is an excellent choice for anyone interested in enhancing their conducting skills, including high school teachers who wish to gain extra qualifications.

The Liberal Arts Certificate and Diploma have roots in classical antiquity, where you will be introduced to a relatively wide range of subjects in order to acquire knowledge and intellectual capacities that are general to all walks of life, rather than specific to a particular profession or trade.

In the international studies degree program, you can choose from two concentrations.

• International Affairs - Focus on courses like contemporary and advanced issues in international affairs to develop an understanding of how the political, economic, social and cultural aspects of international issues are related.
• International Development - Take courses such as international development and poverty, and advanced topics, covering strategies to alleviate poverty, displacement of refugees and scarcity.

The purpose of this MA program is to give graduate students in English the opportunity to complete an MA that has a creative writing emphasis and requires the submission of an extended creative work. At the same time, it will be a degree that requires a substantial amount of work within the field of English, which we also see a valuable part of the education of creative writers. It is hoped that the degree will be the foundation for careers in creative writing and editing. It is aimed at students who have aspirations in this field but have not had the rather more extensive professional experience involved with gaining admission to an M.F.A. degree.

The Department is engaged in a broad range of research in pure and applied mathematics and statistics, and offers programs leading to the MSc, and PhD degrees in mathematics or statistics. Activities include CAE, Facilities design, Quality control, Performance evaluation of manufacturing systems, Fatigue analysis, Vibration and noise analysis, Design and manufacturing of pressure vessels, Non-linear dynamics fracture mechanics, Modeling/simulation/ design/ implementation of robotic human powered , Sensor-based motion planning, Optimal control, Artificial Neural networks, Virtual reality, Artificial/Computational sapiens (wisdom), Metabotics, Greenhouse gas technology control including Solubility of gases in liquids, PVT studies, Mass transfer with chemical reactions, Kinetics, Corrosion and degradation, Calorimetry, Physical and transport properties measurements, Pilot plant design and operations, Fuel cells, Biomass, Modeling and simulation of industrial systems, Renewable energy studies dealing with wind and solar energies.

The Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership (EDL) is designed to serve the needs of practicing school administrators, and for those who wish to prepare for a career in educational administration.
