The Bachelor of Arts in Police Studies is a unique degree offering two programs of study: a professional path and an academic path.

• In the professional path, students complete three years of studies in the Department of Justice Studies, followed by one term at the Saskatchewan Police College and a one-term internship with a police service, with an intensive focus on hands-on development and training.
• In the academic path, students complete all four years in the Department of Justice Studies, with their fourth year focussed on expanding the theoretical and applied knowledge gained in their previous studies.

Religious studies is an exciting program that teaches about different cultures, behaviors, and beliefs. It will give you insight into a broad range of religious expressions around the globe, and the historical roots of the different traditions.

Religious studies offers courses in a wide variety of religions and promotes analytic approaches to religious beliefs.

The MEd in Curriculum and Instruction degree is designed for licensed teachers seeking to become learning specialists in a selected area of the field of education, to advance within their career and to meet professional development renewal requirements. This option is made available to those students who, as teacher-librarians, have a specific interest in this area of education. Our growing capacity to network with other institutions via technology makes it possible to include graduate level courses for teacher-librarians.

The professional Master's option in Journalism is a 30 credit program to be completed over three semesters. It is not an academic track degree; rather it is designed to develop students' capacity for advanced journalistic investigation. Candidates will take a suite of core courses in the theory, history and methods of journalism as well as two advanced specialization options (in print, magazine, broadcast, documentary, international media, alternative media or photojournalism). An outside elective will draw on the resources of other departments and programs and will be related to students' professional capstone projects. In lieu of a thesis, their professional Master’s project will be completed under the supervision of an assigned faculty member. Long-form journalism proposals may include a film or radio documentary; a creative non-fiction or investigative series for magazine, newspaper or online publication; a publisher-ready book proposal and first chapter; a photo-journalism exhibit; or a community-based media project. Students will follow a rigorous and methodical process of research planning and investigation to produce journalism of publication / broadcast quality. Proposals must meaningfully advance the public interest.  Students will also participate in a Master's workshop, as they move from the conceptualization and investigation phases to the project production phase. Diploma in Computer Science
This two-year program (60 credit hours) is designed for professionals seeking to upgrade in areas related to computer science. Courses are offered at times convenient to off-campus students, as well as in the traditional day slots.

Statistics is a data-driven science about how numbers help us understand the world, predict future events, and analyze information.

In this program, you will take courses in statistics and probability, as well as theoretical and applied courses. Statisticians at the bachelor of science level are needed in industry, government, and academics (colleges, technical schools). The Bachelor of Science in Statistics is also a pathway to graduate studies, which can lead to a variety of skilled careers such as a statistician or data scientist.

The Department of Music’s MMus and MA degrees can lead to career opportunities in performance, education, library science, music publishing, media, and arts administration, among others. It also provides exciting potential for further studies at the doctoral level. Our programs promote study in areas as traditional or contemporary as you are, with individualized instruction, and excellent performance and rehearsal facilities. There is also ample opportunity to explore interdisciplinary studies with the other Media, Art, and Performance areas.

Master of Music (MMus) in Conducting
This 30 credit hour program offers intensive individualized studies in conducting for wind ensemble, orchestra, or choir. Students undertake a wide range of conducting projects and score study. The program culminates with a concert in which the student conducts a major work for large ensemble. All students also take graduate courses in critical theory in the fine arts, and in research techniques specific to music. This degree is an excellent choice for anyone interested in enhancing their conducting skills, including high school teachers who wish to gain extra qualifications.

Actuarial Science is the application of mathematics, statistics, and risk theories to the design of insurance and pension programs.

Actuaries' areas of expertise are extensive and involve a wide range of business aspects such as operations research, finances, economics, investment analysis, analysis of medical risk, accounting, legal and regulatory aspects of insurance and pensions, among others. In other words, actuaries apply mathematical skills to the business environment, and they are experts in risk management. The actuarial profession offers continuous challenges and it requires a strong mathematical ability along with proficiency in various business skills. It is also a rewarding career with excellent opportunities for intellectual development and financial gain. The Actuarial Science Program provides students with a strong facility in actuarial methodology and applications. There is 12 month internship program that is also available to students.

Graduates from the Actuarial Science Program have close to 100% hiring success in the Actuarial Industry. The BSc in Actuarial Science is the only program of its kind in Saskatchewan, and it is one of only 11 programs nationally that are accredited by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

Explore your interest in music and prepare for a career that requires writing, research, and analytical skills.
The four-year Bachelor of Arts program in music is a liberal arts degree. It includes studies in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences, with a focus on the study, analysis, and history of music. Graduates often pursue further degrees in library science, arts administration, or teaching at the secondary or university levels.

The purpose of this MA program is to give graduate students in English the opportunity to complete an MA that has a creative writing emphasis and requires the submission of an extended creative work. At the same time, it will be a degree that requires a substantial amount of work within the field of English, which we also see a valuable part of the education of creative writers. It is hoped that the degree will be the foundation for careers in creative writing and editing. It is aimed at students who have aspirations in this field but have not had the rather more extensive professional experience involved with gaining admission to an M.F.A. degree.
