At the University of Regina, students can complete the pre-pharmacy requirements for the College of Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan. Students are eligible to apply to the University of Saskatchewan after the completion of 30 credit hours of specified courses. Pre-pharmacy courses completed at the University of Regina can be used toward a variety of programs at the University of Regina.

Students can complete the pre-medicine requirements for the University of Saskatchewan MD Degree at the University of Regina. Students must complete a 4-year baccalaureate preparatory degree to be eligible to apply to the College of Medicine. As well, students will be required to write the MCAT for admission.  The most up-to-date requirements and notice of upcoming changes will be posted on the College of Medicine website at www.usask.ca/medicine.

Students looking to apply to medical schools other than the U of S are able to complete their pre-med requirements here, but should check the various medical schools for their particular admission requirements.  These students are welcome to consult with our advisors to ensure they get everything they need. Pre-medicine courses completed at the University of Regina can be used toward a variety of programs at the University of Regina.

The University of Regina joins a handful of Canadian universities to offer the Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) undergraduate program, an internationally-acclaimed qualification offered by major universities around the world.

In the PPE program, you will be able to draw upon the three disciplines – philosophy, politics and economics – to examine today’s challenges using this interdisciplinary lens. Not only will you learn to identify these challenges, you will develop the knowledge and skills that could help solve them.

A two-year, 72-credit-hour program of studies, the Diploma in Indigenous Communication Arts (INCA) is offered through the First Nations University of Canada’s Department of Indigenous Communication and Fine Arts. .

Indigenous Communication Arts (INCA) provides academic training and professional experience that supports the entry of Indigenous people into all areas of the communications industry, including Indigenous and mainstream media and public relations. INCA graduates are also eligible to apply to the University of Regina School of Journalism.

INCA prepares students by requiring that they complete courses including Indigenous history and politics, oral traditions, community-based research, business management, traditional and contemporary communication systems, languages, and art. INCA students master basic skills needed for reporting for print and broadcast media and the web and can also study strategic communication planning for public relations.

To qualify for admission to INCA, students must be eligible for admission to the First Nations University of Canada/University of Regina. Proficiency in English must be well above average, and it is strongly recommended that applicants have basic computer skills. Upon being accepted by First Nations University of Canada/University of Regina, students must contact the Faculty or the Department of Indigenous Communication and Fine Arts  which will provide academic and professional advising.

This program gives you the tools to plan, set up and conduct chemical analysis and experiments and develop chemical products. It is designed for students who have an interest in combining chemistry, plant production, and technology. You will build upon logical and innovative thinking skills and write technical reports.

The University of Regina Department of English is a medium-sized department offering courses and research opportunities in most areas of English, American, and Canadian literatures. The size of its student body ensures that students have ample opportunity for intellectual discussion with their peers, but also the close contact with faculty members that larger institutions are unable to provide. The Department currently offers three routes for the MA in English: course-based, Creative Writing, and thesis-based. The course MA (ten courses) provides an opportunity to achieve a breadth of knowledge in many areas of English literature. The thesis MA (five courses plus thesis) provides an opportunity to do in-depth research, and an extended piece of writing, on one area of English literature. The Master's degree is normally the highest offered in the Department of English at the University of Regina, and affords the Department the opportunity for close support of Master’s students and high-priority supervision of Master's theses Both the thesis and course MA offer students excellent preparation for graduate studies at the doctoral level, or for jobs and careers in English. The Department of Computer Science offers programs of study involving interdepartmental, multi-institutional and inter-institutional collaboration that has attracted faculty members and graduate students from all over the world. Students may pursue full-time or part-time graduate study leading towards the MSc and PhD degrees.

MSc Computer Science - Data Science
A fully-qualified student may complete a Master's in Data Science by undertaking 30 credits of coursework. Students in this route who are interested in pursuing the Co-op Designation must complete CS 700, 710, 711, 712, 713, 714, 715, and 716 before they can undertake any co-op work terms.
