Economics is the science describing the production and distribution of wealth. Business Economics provides you with a background in both economics and commerce, with special emphasis in economics, so as to prepare you for the world of business, finance, and public service.

What you will learn
This program will provide you with knowledge and the tools to comprehend, assess and analyze the many pressing issues and problems of individuals, businesses and society in an economic context.

The Certificate in Business (CBUS) is an eight-course program that will provide you with the knowledge and skills to be successful in professional business environments. You will be introduced to business foundations and will have opportunities to become a more innovative thinker, a creative problem-solver, an effective contributor and a team leader.

This certificate is offered by the University of Saskatchewan's Edwards School of Business. You may earn the certificate on its own, while pursuing a degree, or after graduating university.
If you are interested in pursuing a degree in business, the Edwards School of Business offers a Bachelor in Commerce with majors in: Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management.

Study the evolution of theatre and learn the practice of acting, directing, stage management, writing, costume design, lighting and sound production.

What you will learn
You will learn to act for theatre, film, radio and television and explore the directing process through coaching, conducting auditions and developing rehearsal schedules. Develop your talents as playwrights, stage managers and designers as you learn to construct stage sets, design costumes and gain hands-on experience with lighting, sound production and stage management for on-campus performances. You will engage with every aspect of the theatrical process as you learn the theory and evolution of theatrical production.

Design the way website applications, games, apps and various software systems interact with people, based on training in graphical design, human psychology and computer science.

What you will learn
You will learn to design, build, and evaluate games and interactive system. You will develop the technical skills required to implement and test these systems in a variety of scenarios, and learn to understand and use visual media. You will study the role of human cognition, development, memory, communication and perception in designing these systems.

Historians study how societies change over time and use past events to help understand modern concerns surrounding a wide array of topics including environmental crisis, colonialism, addiction, mental health, and changing gender roles.

You will learn to use written texts, oral histories, primary documents, artifacts and material culture to understand topics ranging from Roman architecture to queer marriage, Renaissance magic to contemporary environmental conflicts, and from residential schools to drug wars.

What you will learn
You will study performance, composition, music theory, history and literature. You will develop advanced skills with applied study in piano, voice, brass, winds, strings or percussion. You will examine the history of music which will provide you with a rich perspective into music, composers’ lives and their contributions to musical traditions, styles, genres and forms of composition.

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program, accredited by the Canadian Association of Programs in Public Administration (CAPPA), is designed to prepare students for careers in public administration and policy work in diverse areas such as non-government organizations, industry associations, and, of course, the public service. MPA students are exposed to core concepts in policy formation and analysis, and have the opportunity to explore substantive areas such as social policy, health policy, innovation policy, trade and immigration policy, resource and environmental policy, and public sector management. 

The standard time in the program for the MPA is two years. However, the MPA can be completed in a period as short as 16 months (via an accelerated program) and as long as five years (the maximum time allowed in program for Masters students).

Studio art develops your creative potential in a wide range of visual media including: painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography and digital imaging as well as mixed media work such as installation and performance.

What you will learn
With an intensive studio experience you will develop your creative talents and become technically proficient in the visual mediums. Exploring technical, aesthetic, and theoretical concerns in a critical setting pertinent to the pursuit of art in our culture will prepare you for careers in the visual arts or arts-related fields.

The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.) degree is a four-year program offered by the University of Saskatchewan's Edwards School of Business.
All undergraduate students admitted to the Edwards School of Business are required to complete a common first-year of studies. In January of your second year, you'll apply to a specialization in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Management, Marketing or Supply Chain Management.

Finance
Finance is the science of funds management, with a focus on saving, lending, and investing money. The field of finance deals with the concepts of time, money, and risk, and how they are interrelated.

What you will learn
The Finance major is well positioned to provide students with specialized financial knowledge and the necessary management skills to be competent financial managers. Learn how people should invest their money and how companies will perform in the future based on the past.

Finance students will understand the areas of finance theory, corporate, securities, risk, insurance, venture capital, planning, modeling, investments and portfolio management. Trained to compete and succeed in the financial marketplace.
