The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.) degree is a four-year program offered by the University of Saskatchewan's Edwards School of Business.
All undergraduate students admitted to the Edwards School of Business are required to complete a common first-year of studies. In January of your second year, you'll apply to a specialization in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Management, Marketing or Supply Chain Management.

Supply Chain Management
Supply Chain Management is delivery-focused, coordinating the end-to-end flow of an organization’s goods, information and money, and ensuring that an organization successfully turns inputs to outputs in an efficient manner.

What you will learn
The major prepares students to deal with the management of all activities directly related to the design and delivery of services, manufacturing and production of goods, and management of supply chains.
Supply chain management professionals are detail-oriented and constantly think about how to make processes more efficient.

What you will learn
Anthropology is the comprehensive study of human beings, past and present, in comparative, cross-cultural, and holistic light. Archaeology is a sub-discipline of Anthropology that focuses on the study of artifacts and other physical remains of past peoples in order to explore adaptation and cultural diversity over time. The Archaeology and Anthropology program at the University of Saskatchewan offers training that emphasizes the role of culture in past and present human behaviour and diversity, and that exposes students to human evolutionary, environmental, and social development and adaptation. The program demonstrates particular expertise in medical anthropology, environmental anthropology, applied (practicing) anthropology, anthropological archaeology, environmental archaeology, and bioarchaeology. We emphasize community-based and engaged learning, a commitment to reconciliation, and a broad disciplinary foundation in both anthropology and archaeology.

The Bachelor of Arts and Science (B.A. & Sc.) degrees are distinct degrees combining the science disciplines with studies in the humanities, social sciences, and/or fine arts.  These unique and highly completive interdisciplinary programs are focused in areas of high demand and allow students to make connections needed to succeed in these areas. Health Studies

• This program examines the issue of health and wellness, including mental health, from a variety of perspectives including how biological, cultural, social, and environmental contexts influence the health and well-being of the individual.

What you will learn

• You will learn about issues of health ranging from biological, psychological, cultural and environmental and how factors such as genetics, personality, attitudes and abilities influence healthy social and emotional development throughout the life span. You will study the role of cultural and community processes in health and healing and examine how groups interact with their environment in healthy and unhealthy ways.

Plant Ecologists study the interactions among plants, between plants and the environment, and between soils, plants and animals. Forestry industries, human and livestock health, and agriculture all depend on healthy plant communities and ecosystems.

What you will learn
Learn how to apply ecological principles to ecosystems such as rangelands, forests, wetlands, and croplands for sustainable production. Applied Plant Ecology integrates principles and advanced knowledge of managing, conserving, and restoring natural and semi-natural landscapes and ecosystems.

Discover some of the roots of the modern world by examining the development of culture and thought from Graeco-Roman antiquity through the Middle Ages and into the Renaissance. Explore, understand and appreciate ancient languages and the literature, art, ideas, and historical movements that informed Western civilizations.

What you will learn
You will examine the development of European cultures and societies between 700 B.C. and A.D. 1600. An understanding of these societies requires the integration of three dimensions: the historical (including archaeology and the history of society and politics); the intellectual (including philosophy, science, and religion); and the cultural (including languages, arts, drama, literature, and architecture). You will apply this understanding to a particular discipline and period of cultural tradition.

In this professional program, you'll transcend disciplinary boundaries to manage complex problems and address sustainability challenges from the local to the global context. You'll develop your professional skills and address real-world issues by working with a public, private or not-for-profit partner organization as you complete the degree requirements with an applied project.

Regenerative Sustainability: The mission of the Regenerative Sustainability stream is to empower our graduates to catalyze positive, transformative, changes in socio-ecological systems by engaging with the latest developments in sustainability thinking and practice.

Students are challenged to think outside the boundaries of traditional disciplinary programs to address environmental and sustainability challenges with regional, national, and international significance. These programs expose graduate students to a variety of unique environmental learning and research experiences and help nurture students to become critical thinkers capable of addressing pressing challenges associated with environmental change and sustainability.

Agronomy is a science that finds ways to grow crops more efficiently and profitably while protecting the environment. Agronomy affects us all through the food we eat, the coffee we drink, the ethanol-based gas we use to power our vehicles and the natural fibers in the clothing we wear.

What you will learn
You will examine ways use natural resources efficiently, sustainably and profitably to produce food, feed, fibre and fuel. You will take courses from several disciplines and learn to approach agronomic issues from several different perspectives. You will acquire an understanding of the biological, ecological and economic principles of crop production and soil management, as well as an appreciation of the short and long term effects of agricultural production on the environment.

Management
Management is the organization and coordination of business activities in order to achieve certain goals and objectives. The major is designed for those students who seek a business education and do not wish to narrow their focus to a specific functional area.

What you will learn
Students within the Management major have significant flexibility to take a collection of courses from accounting, finance, human resource management, marketing, management and supply chain management. This wide breadth of knowledge gives you an ideal understanding of the strategy needed to achieve overall organizational goals and objectives.

Electircal engineers design and manage power systems, communications networks and electronic products. They work on the electrical and electronic equipment and systems that are transforming our way of life.

What you will learn

• We’ve redesigned first-year engineering at USask to help you succeed and make engineering more fun. We call the new first year RE-ENGINEERED. It’s the only program of its kind in Canada. It will get you excited and inspired about engineering.
• In RE-ENGINEERED, instead of high-stakes exams, you will do more assignments and quizzes so you can improve your mark if you stumble early. Daily tutorials are part of the schedule so you can get help when you need it. And instead of final exams, you will explore the different branches of engineering in hands-on courses.
• You will choose your engineering specialty – known as your major, or discipline – at the end of your first year. This is the area you will study in-depth in your upper-years classes.

Historians study how societies change over time and use past events to help understand modern concerns surrounding a wide array of topics including environmental crisis, colonialism, addiction, mental health, and changing gender roles.

What you will learn
You will learn to use written texts, oral histories, primary documents, artifacts and material culture to understand topics ranging from Roman architecture to queer marriage, Renaissance magic to contemporary environmental conflicts, and from residential schools to drug wars.
