The University of Windsor, Faculty of Engineering offers a Master of Engineering (MEng) Program which is course-based designed for working professionals or recent graduates who want to increase their knowledge in multiple, advanced topics.

Our graduate programs are designed to prepare students for successful and rewarding professional careers in environmental engineering. Graduates will find themselves meeting the challenges of efficient building design, improving the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, traffic congestion, energy needs and urban redevelopment. As an environmental engineering graduate, you will be able to directly impact the health and wellbeing of the general public in many Canadian communities.

The Master of Medical Biotechnology is a professional program that provides students with both a solid foundation of the theoretical concepts and practical industrially applicable laboratory technique experiences used in medical biotechnology industries. In addition, students will also receive training in business plan development and product commercialization.

The skills and knowledge taught in this program will allow you to develop a successful career in biotech entrepreneurship, medical and pharmaceutical materials characterization, medical diagnostics or biotechnology product development/monitoring. In addition, the Master of Medical Biotechnology program can be a route for career advancement if you are currently employed in biotechnology and/or related medical and pharmaceutical industries.

You will study and live in Canada for approximately 16 months while enrolled in 10 prescribed courses. The courses will have multi-disciplinary relevance and provide the practical knowledge required to excel in the complex environment of Medical Biotechnology.

The MMB graduate degree is a self-funded professional program. Students who register in this program are not eligible for government funding, i.e. Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP), and therefore must ensure that they have sufficient financial resources to meet their total cost of attendance.

Develop your visual, technical, storytelling, and professional workplace skills. Study all aspects of filmmaking in scripted and documentary film, pre-production planning, budget planning, concept development, screenwriting and screen adaptations; production related directing, cinematography, set design, lighting, sound, and post-production including sound design and editing. Learn narrative, non-narrative, documentary, and experimental filmmaking traditions and create films based on experimentation with narrative and formal expression.

The Developmental Psychology and Criminology combined program involves training in both developmental psychology and criminology. Developmental psychology is focused with both physical and psychological changes throughout life—from conception until death and is paired well with criminology to study criminal law, enforcement, prosecution, sentencing, punishment, victims of crime, media and crime, deviance, and justice. This combined program helps students develop critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Get a leg up on the competition for careers in the federal or provincial civil service, among other jobs, by mastering this official language. Economics is a science that studies how a society uses its scarce resources to produce the goods and services that its members desire. The study of economics will provide you with an understanding of how individuals, firms and public agencies influence what is produced, how it is produced, and who gets to consume what is produced. 

At UWindsor, you will learn how the actions of individuals, firms and public agencies ultimately determine the direction of the overall economy. You will acquire the tools necessary to answer such important economic questions as: how do we reduce Canada’s unemployment rate; what are the effects of government deficits and spending cuts; and what are the effects of globalization on the Canadian economy? 

You will also learn the skills to analyze economic problems and view them from the perspective of different groups in society based on their particular interests. 

How do you achieve gender equality in the workplace? How do you tackle pay disparities? You will learn from world-renowned leaders in women’s and gender studies along with leading business experts to find solutions.

Explore the physics of diagnosing and treating cancer and other diseases. Specialize in the areas of medical imaging and radiation therapy. You’ll take courses with hands-on laboratory components and be able to tailor your degree by choosing options that match your interests. You can start your career upon graduation or go on to grad or professional schools.

Meet at the intersection of Politics and Business. You will learn how policies and laws affect people, businesses and the world in this combined program. Develop your critical thinking and analytical skills to impact change both at the community level and in the corporate boardroom. Understanding economics, policies and regulations is important in today’s business world. You can take part in research on current issues and gain an understanding of economics, policies and regulations in today’s business world.

Calling all future health professionals! This program gives you a strong background in both biochemistry and biomedical sciences, fundamental to health and medicine. You’ll be in a lab within the first two weeks of this program and get the chance to conduct undergraduate research with hands-on learning in courses like CURE. You’ll get a chance to work alongside clinical researchers and medical professionals to learn about funding, project management, communication and other issues of cancer and health research.
