Economics is a science that studies how a society uses its scarce resources to produce the goods and services that its members desire. The study of economics will provide you with an understanding of how individuals, firms and public agencies influence what is produced, how it is produced, and who gets to consume what is produced. 

At UWindsor, you will learn how the actions of individuals, firms and public agencies ultimately determine the direction of the overall economy. You will acquire the tools necessary to answer such important economic questions as: how do we reduce Canada’s unemployment rate; what are the effects of government deficits and spending cuts; and what are the effects of globalization on the Canadian economy? 

You will also learn the skills to analyze economic problems and view them from the perspective of different groups in society based on their particular interests. 

The Master of Applied Computing is a course-based professional graduate program offered by the School of Computer Science will provide you with a solid foundation and knowledge of industry oriented practical aspects of Computer Science, preparing you to take up positions in the growing software industry in Canada and around the world.

The skills and knowledge gained from this program will allow you to develop a successful career in the growing software industry through practical projects, internships and in-class training. This program has been specifically designed to expose you to the latest technologies and developments in a number of high-demand fields.

You will study and live in Canada for approximately 16 consecutive months while enrolled in 8 prescribed courses and one Project/Internship (2 course credit). Courses include not only Computer Science but also Business classes.

Be the person with the answers! Develop your critical thinking skills to solve complex challenges and problems in the financial and insurance industries. Our supportive learning environment with small class sizes and engaging professors will prepare you for an actuarial designation. Upon graduation, you’ll move into an in-demand career assessing risks in the insurance and finance industries.

Be on the cutting edge of scientific research in this program that focuses on human health and disease. The curriculum integrates hands-on learning in labs and provides opportunities for undergraduate research. You will be exposed to the latest molecular and cellular biology research and technology while building transferable skills that are essential to careers in health sciences, industry, government and education.

The course-based Master of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Option) will prepare graduates for leadership positions within the automotive and manufacturing industries. You will study and live in Canada for approximately 16 consecutive months and take a variety of topics through eight prescribed courses. These courses are selected by academic administration and will vary from year to year.

The goal of the program is to provide you with the opportunity to extend your understanding of automotive engineering principles, with an emphasis on operation, design, materials and manufacturing along with some aspects of business and management.

Co-op
The MEng-Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Option) has an optional co-op portion. Co-op is an opportunity for students to work in an automotive related company during one semester of school.
All students will apply for co-op, however it is a competitive program and we may not have a placement opportunity for all students.

Specialize in microbiology, cellular development, environmental and evolutionary biology, population and ecosystem ecology, or any combination of these areas. You’ll learn research techniques in our new labs and out in the field that will prepare you for a wide range of career paths, ranging from interests at the molecular level, to whole organism (including humans) and/or the more complex community and ecosystem levels.

You’ll have lots of opportunity to do research and many of our students hold patents on new discoveries and inventions they’ve developed while at UWindsor.

We keep class sizes small so our faculty can give your talent the attention it deserves. You have the option of combining your music studies with another discipline.

The Master of Management program is a course-based graduate program. This 16-month program offers yout he benefits of a world-class business education with the personal touch of a small school. While you will focus on the specialization of your choice, you will also be equipped with core business courses with multi-disciplinary relevance and receive the practical knowledge requied to excel. These courses include Business Communication, Accounting Concepts & Techniques, Finance in a Global Perspective, Managing Employees, Marketing, Quantitative Studies, International Business, and Business Strategy.
