Develop your critical thinking and analytical skills to impact change both at the community level and in the corporate boardroom. Understanding economics, policies and regulations is important in today’s business world. You can take part in research on current issues and gain an understanding of economics, policies and regulations in today’s business world.

Become a powerful force in the worlds of research and industry. Our physics grads are in high demand, with an employment rate of nearly 100 per cent. You will learn how the universe works—from the fundamental forces of nature to their effects on matter and the environment around us. We offer lots of opportunities for hands-on learning, and the ability to customize your degree to your interests through optional courses or by combining your physics degree with another discipline.

Industrial engineers answer the needs of organizations to operate efficiently and cost effectively. As an industrial engineer, you may use intelligent processes to streamline production systems or design flexible manufacturing approaches using a wide range of knowledge, including operations research, manufacturing sciences and enterprise resources planning/integration.

The University of Windsor is one of only few institutions in Ontario to offer industrial engineering. Your education will begin with a broad base of fundamental sciences, mathematics and engineering knowledge in courses that are common to all programs. Our program will allow you to engineer how systems interact with one another.

Explore how gender, race and sexualities shape your daily life and the relationships you foster. You’ll learn from world-renowned leaders in the areas of equity, diversity and inclusion, and sexual assault resistance education. We have innovative learning initiatives through the Walls to Bridges program, where you’ll learn alongside incarcerated students, to the Bystander Initiative which teaches you how to safely intervene to end sexual violence.

The Communication, Media, and Film and Political Science combined program allows students to study and explore a wide range of topics in both disciplines. Through political science, students will study power – who holds it, how it is exercised, how you can influence and gain access to power, and how our lives are influenced by politically important institutions and individuals. When combined with communication, media, and film, you can be at the centre of exploring the most dynamic changes in our increasingly complex media landscape as well as the broader cultural, social economic, and political implications of contemporary and emergent technologies.

English 
Immerse yourself in studying English from early oral traditions to contemporary writing from around the world and meet visiting writers and academics. You will be in many small classes exclusive to English majors and will receive the attention you need to thrive. The world needs smart thinkers and writers. Become one of them.

Psychology
Get inside people’s brains in this program that lets you discover why people think and act the way they do. Major in psychology alone or do a combined honours with another discipline. Start your program with an introduction to Psychology course for psych majors only, where you get to work in small groups led by mentors to help you along. You can do research and community placements throughout your undergraduate years.

Mechanical engineers are responsible for the design, analysis, construction, maintenance, and operation of machines and systems in a number of industry sectors, such as automotive, aerospace, power generation, manufacturing, steel, and pulp and paper. Mechanical engineers commonly go beyond the limits of purely mechanical work, and are found at all levels of management in private industry and the public sector.

Criminology examines criminal activity, legal issues, policing, regulation, the criminal justice system, and security as major factors in society. In our program-the most established in Ontario-you’ll learn how crimes and illegalities are defined, the enforcement and administration of laws, punishments and sanctions, and issues of law, morality and justice. A strong foundation for such careers as police services, corrections, border services and social service agencies.

Psychology

Criminology
Do justice to your future career by studying criminology at UWindsor. Class sizes are small and there are lots of them to choose from, giving you the flexibility to tailor your degree to your interests. We also offer practicums with government and community agencies, leading to jobs for graduates.

Advance your skills with the Engineering Technology degree. If you have an 3-year, advanced technology diploma, or a degree in a scientific or technical subject, this program is for you. Follow one of the specializations: mechatronics, mechanical, civil or stay in the general stream. Learning from our exceptional profs benefits you when preparing to write the PEng exams.
