Developmental Psychology
Our developmental psychology program offers so much that is unique. Start your program with an Introduction to Psychology course for psych majors only, where you get to work in small groups led by mentors to help you along. Later, you will have opportunities for undergraduate research and community placements where you can put what you’ve learned in the classroom into practice. Family and Social Relations
Families are dynamic. Gain theoretical and practical insights into the changes that affect families, and the social responses to those changes. This program explores child studies, sexuality and sexual health, family history and change, marriage dynamics, and gender issues. It combines courses from a variety of disciplines, including sociology, psychology, social work, history and women’s and gender studies.

Spread the love of music in this program that focuses on the methods and practice of teaching. You’ll take specific voice or instrument training, and also learn music theory, the foundations of music education and basic conducting. The School of Creative Arts, where the program is housed, is stunning. We keep class sizes small so our caring faculty can give you lots of personal attention.

The Developmental Psychology and Criminology combined program involves training in both developmental psychology and criminology. Developmental psychology is focused with both physical and psychological changes throughout life—from conception until death and is paired well with criminology to study criminal law, enforcement, prosecution, sentencing, punishment, victims of crime, media and crime, deviance, and justice. This combined program helps students develop critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

The Communication, Media, and Film and Political Science combined program allows students to study and explore a wide range of topics in both disciplines. Through political science, students will study power – who holds it, how it is exercised, how you can influence and gain access to power, and how our lives are influenced by politically important institutions and individuals. When combined with communication, media, and film, you can be at the centre of exploring the most dynamic changes in our increasingly complex media landscape as well as the broader cultural, social economic, and political implications of contemporary and emergent technologies.

Sociology
Society today is complicated. You’ll learn how to unravel its most urgent issues in this program that is focused on research, analysis and communication — skills relevant to a wide range of fields. Begin your journey to an exciting career in mechanical engineering by developing a solid foundation in machine design, CAD, and thermofluids with applications in automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and materials engineering. Available specializations include automotive, aerospace, environmental, and materials. Our facilities include a dedicated project courtyard where students develop their hands on capabilities. The faculty promotes connections with industry through projects, courses, and workplace co-op opportunities.

Mechanical Engineering with Aerospace
Develop your aerospace skills as you learn about propulsion, aerodynamics, structures, materials, and drone technology. Consider taking advantage of our unique opportunity to obtain your private pilot’s license for course credit or compete internationally with our aero or rocket teams.

The Music and Psychology combined program is offered jointly between the School of Creative Arts and the Department of Psychology. This combined program allows students to explore topics from both areas. This is a flexible program that will allow you to pursue the rigorous, academic study of a wide variety of musical genres with the option of including a hands-on studio experience with classical or contemporary music.

The BA in Music is designed for those captivated by music and its role in social and cultural life. With its focus on academic study and the development of creative and critical-thinking skills, this four-year program provides excellent preparation for careers and graduate studies in music theory or music history and a range of careers in areas outside of music.
