Begin your journey to an exciting career in mechanical engineering by developing a solid foundation in machine design, CAD, and thermofluids with applications in automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and materials engineering. Economics is a science that studies how a society uses its scarce resources to produce the goods and services that its members desire. The study of economics will provide you with an understanding of how individuals, firms and public agencies influence what is produced, how it is produced, and who gets to consume what is produced. 

At UWindsor, you will learn how the actions of individuals, firms and public agencies ultimately determine the direction of the overall economy. You will acquire the tools necessary to answer such important economic questions as: how do we reduce Canada’s unemployment rate; what are the effects of government deficits and spending cuts; and what are the effects of globalization on the Canadian economy? 

You will also learn the skills to analyze economic problems and view them from the perspective of different groups in society based on their particular interests. 

The only one of its kind in Ontario, MBA-Professional Accounting Specialization, accredited by Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario), prepares its graduates to succeed as accountants and business professionals in a multitude of careers.

From public accounting to industry or the government and not for profit, MBA-PAS is designed to develop technical knowledge, interpersonal and communication skills as well as critical thinking and professional decision-making ability, all required to excel in complex work environments.

Students can complete the program within 12 months. Students graduating from the program will hold an MBA degree and be ready to write CPA Ontario’s Common Final Exam (CFE). Fully accredited by CPA Canada, MBA-PAS students who have successfully completed the program will be able to write the CFE without having to go through any further preparation.

MBA-PAS provides domestic and international students, holding business or non-business undergraduate degrees*, with the ability to pursue a career in accounting, creating a classroom environment where synergies from diverse backgrounds contribute to the education of a well-rounded Chartered Professional Accountant.

We offer public history courses relating to how people interact with the past — think museums, documentaries, walking tours and history websites — with an emphasis on digital history, and practicums for hands-on experience.

Through co-op, internships, and other industry partnerships, our curriculum emphasizes hands-on skills as well as theory. There’s even an option to minor in Business. The Communication, Media, and Film and Psychology combined program allows students to study and explore a wide range of topics in both disciplines. Through psychology, you can explore topics such as: memory, motivation, and decision making; how the attitudes and actions of other people influence us; human development from birth to death; and the way our cultural backgrounds shape the way we think and behave. When combined with communication, media, and film, you can be at the centre of exploring the most dynamic changes in our increasingly complex media landscape and gain the skills necessary to interpret an critically engage our media-saturated world.

This broad program offers courses as varied as your interests. With lots of flexibility, it offers the ability to analyze issues, evaluate courses of action, and implement effective solutions. These skills are the stepping-stones to careers in a wide range of social service, business, or government organizations. You will choose a certificate program (Anthrozoology, Applied Information Technology, Arts Management, Law and Politics, Public Administration, Organizational Management, Second Language Education, Women’s and Gender Studies, Work and Employment Issues) and up to two or three minors, gaining transferable skills essential in the job market.
